Just tried it on PS3 but had to stop after 3 minutes, the feedback with people's micropĥone want to make me punch my TV.

I guess you can't in beta. One more thing... since the links show actual footage from the game, why the beta looks like shit? I do hope it is a few months old build.
Not sure about the 3 disc 360 version but I bought the PS3 version of Rage. It took about 30 minutes to install the 8gb required data. I played the game and noticed texture popping. Not sure if I was playing from the disc or there is an option to play the game from the install. Dont think its optional on the PS3 and the 8gb install is compulsory.

I really enjoyed the beta. Sure it looks better on PC but I don't care that much, it is allright on the console. I love Bad Company 2 and BF3 is like BF2 but more and better, I don't need anything past that. Already preordered after few hours with the beta.
