It's not the releases, the game has some new checks in it - to bypass it, run the game with XeXmenu. I got the "disc read error" too when I launched it from FSD, but I just came back from playing it for about 4 hours, when launched from XeXmenu.
For Disc 2, just copy the folder within \content\0000000\ on disc 2 to your content\0000000\ folder on your Xbox Harddrive (not USB), just like you would with DLC.

same for me in xex menu i didnt install disc 2 though does that need to be installed for the game to work i keep getting dirty disc error

how did you unpack the iso to put on a jtag ? with schrom I can't open the iso file ?

No problem here with the ZRY release.
Unpacked iso, madegoodiso and then iso2god.
Copied to my games folder on root.
Loads up fine on freestyle played for an hour no errors.
I'm on old LT 1.9 fw.
Game is very nice so far. Best driving physics yet.

the latest version of Exiso with its gui can extract xgd3 isos fine

People saying it runs fine are BSing others , even C4eva said Forza4 has new Ap and in coming weeks he will release new LT+ 2.1

thats funny i run this game from xkey [i have a silm] and don't have any popups like this in the middle of the game like others have that burned this game on a media .. so someone is Bsign about this rip being bad ... or the new CIV can detect burned media BOOK and you have to burn on BOOK DVD-ROM to not have a issue on XGD3 ... |

Dear friend the thing is like this ....some report when you play for 1-2h you get a pop up like this , some report its a ok game dump ,it works fine and some like me that have xkey say this rip is fine, it works fine... heck i played it for like 3h or more and all works well
the thing is this game has a new protection CIV and there are some problems with it ... if there where none C4eva would not said about new lt+ in the works... as of now people said that when you burn this with a BOOK MEDIA TYPE of DVD-ROM your game will be fine so burn it with this setting .. or get a xkey and fuck it  damn i can now play games like j-tagers  no hassle no WHERE THE FUCK IS MY DISK ... in 3 months i will get a chip and will glitch my slim to play XBLA games |

its already been noted in the other xbox360 tread that this game has a new media check from the good old times of Xtreme FW when you had to change your book to DVD-ROM to play a game ... the thing is you can play this game fine IF :you burn this with DVD-ROM book [but somehow you will be flagged] , have a J-tag or have a xkey or glitch hack
its bad month for media burns lulz |
