I can't agree here. Sure my pet dies quit often, but thats no problem. It distracts the enemies from me (at least at PvE). I did a mission yesterday and all of us except me died. I rez my pet and the white mantle kept attacking it, wich gave me enough time to res all others. And it can deliver some damage too if you have the right skills equipped.

I think i got that skill from a Ranger wich was in the woods of Regent Valley, i forgot his name though, mabe it was something like Nunne. Either that or someone in Ascalon gave me the mission, but it was before the post searing, thats for sure

Yes, it's in the regent valley. You can do that quest, only if you have either as first or second profession the ranger. I think Nunne was the Necro at the catacombs.
You'll find that ranger, when you go down from ashford ahby to fort ranik in pre-searing. (if you need me to find him, just tell me. i still got a char in pre-searing)

I don't remember the name of the guy who said "there's not much to do after lvl 20" just one page ago...
To tell the truth its quite the contrary: 90% of players will tell you that reaching lvl 20 is the beginning. Think of pre-searing ascalon as a a little tutorial and post-searing from lvl 6 to 20 as a long tutorial. When you're lvl 20 you have access to anything, you're beginning to understand all the implications of your dozens of skills, you can finally look for the elite ones and you still have a hard time beating many mobs. PvE is always challenging, while PvP...well, guess what, they called it Guild Wars for a reason.
Warriors do not wear the same armors (they pick one they need most), and there is dye to make some cool colour combinations. Then there's the obvious possibility to play other characters, not to mention updates and expansions are on their way...
Whoever says "omfg, only 20 lvls! omfg, then teh game ends! its short! there is still 70% of the world to explore, but hey, who cares, I dont see that little sweet number changing! It will be 20 forever, my little mind cant stand it! thats the reason why there was no monthly fee! and the weapons are similar, and there are no lightsabers!" has the guts required to play some huge pile of MMORPG crap like Everquest 2 or SW Galaxies.

Then obviously you've hardly played it.
Apart from that, WoW is a clone of almost every other MMORPG out there, there is nothing original about it. Unlike guildwars. Meh, just another WoW fanboy.

its obvious that you are a wow boy, you are the kind of peoepl that say "blizzard always makes classics, so wow is another classic that its gonna be played by everyone".
as soon as i saw wow, i didnt like the cartoon-like gfx, if you have a good video card, u set gw to 1600x1200 at least 4x aa, and there nothing to compare to wow. Besides the wow combat system in wow is so dull, 2 hours waiting to kill a fucking rabbit, common....
Gw is so much fun, some entertaining, more... moving in a way
In short, ppl play wow because its from bllizard

I haven't been able to play for a while now because my internet access has been revoked, as I didn't pay the accomodation fees!
I've payed now, but it takes a week for the system to register it for some bloody reason.
