Yep, great really that they're willing to try something new (and risk some sales in the process) - some other dev/publisher might've been perfectly content in stagnating the series for safe profit and just pump out identical sequels, one after another.
I absolutely adore the new era and its visual representation, so different from the previous ones and yet equally fashinating (not to mention the Ecos vs Tycoons 'rivarly', which is going to be very interesting in terms of gameplay.)
I would rather they had been bolder and made the leap to a space-planets setting. While interesting, the usual islands setup feels kinda weird in a futuristic context.
Also, fix Anno 1404 Venice's memory leaks already...

You have underwater construction in this, it's not strictly islands.

Maybe next time - that's still the same engine (I think?) so it's helluva lot easier to 'recycle' the island setting. IF they go into the future again with the next sequel, planet colonization would be really cool tho.

Yeah, it looks like the same engine (no qualms with that). Well, step by step. We might get something bolder in Anno 2180.
I hope the game ends up having more characters than just one Tycoon guy and one Eco chick. But that scarcity might just be due to the game's current state of development. Well, not that November's that far away...
It contains a feature called Ark, which seems to be the same thing as Dynasty in Heroes 6.
Seems Ubisoft really is using new methods to fight piracy.
by cutting of singleplayer features from game and creating PoS online only "community" nonsences from them. No way
Sorry but they dont get me to buy their titles again with this (_I_)
It's the modern day developer technique. "Guys we need to make our game look awesome, but it should be able to run on six year old HW." "O...my...fucking...god. I've got a brilliant idea. Let's blind the fuckers with shiny light. Morons will never suspect."
