needs good slider settings. pisses me off when I hang on my player`s face and he still gets the last second shot in. 3pt or 2pt - doesnt matter. And yet again it is pretty impossible to loose your defender. :s

Small but annoying bug, Settings seem to reset each time I enter the game or return from My Player or Association back to the home screen. That includes Gameplay, Game Sliders, Presentation... This can be fixed by going to Load > Load Settings. By default, however it seems the game just resets them instead of loading them again from it.

Either Online has been fixed (at least connecting to 2K for the my2K features and seeing how many players are online works, that's what I've tested), and/or the PC problem is lack of port forwarding.
What I did to make the above features work is enable DMZ on my router (pointing it to my computer of course) and disable the firewall. Now I can connect to the 2K servers. Either that fixed it, or 2K fixed the servers, or both had something to do with it. Try it as well.

i got my ass handed to be by the hornets.
and its wasn;t a mind blowing gameplay experience to be honest. but mainly because i was studying the post controls, and what do you know, 1st quarter and the german god goes down injured out the rest of the game.
lots to learn. i need to note down all the moves and go into training mode and try them tons. sure the training camp is nice, but its so slow just to do one thing, i need to learn how to execute tons f these moves in a chain.
yeah so while i can see the gameplay is much better, and the ai is awesome, it doesn;t quite feel as new as i was hoping mainly because i didn;t use any of the new moves and controls at my fingertips. more practice, use of plays and dirk not being injured i know will provide me with an orgasmic experience that i know this game can give me.
might just mess around with other teams until i get all the controls and mavs plays down, then ill get into franchise mode (if the lockout continues though to winter. if it ends soon ill wait until alll the deals are done before i start.)

Well... Now I'm pissed.
Every year I play Association, and this time first thing I notice, Team Stats for games you play are saved incorrectly. After 2 games played, I have 82.5 RPG, 80.0 APG, etc.
Fuck.
EDIT: Tried starting another Association, same thing happened whether I finish the game myself or sim to the end of it. Team Stats are saved completely incorrectly, every single one of them for my team. Another user at OS confirmed this bug for X360 too. -sigh- That officially ruined my appetite.

Notice the screwed up stats for my team (Pistons) and the 3 teams I've played with so far (Pacers, Knicks, Nets).
EDIT 2: Seems bug is universal for everywhere that there's Team Stats. So along with Association, MyPlayer is affected too. Great.

when i get back from work ill test your problem on my install leftos.
it seems to me that if this problem really was EVERY version, EVER game. there would be a MUCH MUCH bigger outcry about it on the OS forums. rather than a few scattered posts in the bug thread.
it ay mean a reinstall could fix your problem? (or redownload i guess with steam)
but yeah as soon as i get back this evening ill let you know if i have the same problem.

Two X360 users have confirmed this already. And changing my regional settings to English (US) in case the decimal point being a ',' here in Greece screwed up the stats this year (yes, yes, I know it's impossible, but I had to try) fixed nothing.

If it isn't a big gameplay bug OS users are ok with that.They are not like the retards that whine about everything on 2kSports forums.
This game is absolutely phenomenal.My Player is improved, still I think it needs custom sliders but this year sim ones play nice out of the box with minimal changes.I like the new post moves assigned to Y.I love the defense this year because it's difficult to guard on ball.I see all the retards on 2kSports forums crying about the defense system.They want a glue defense button like last year.omg.I hope 2k will not listen to them and change gameplay again.
Leftos later today, after work, I'll check the team stats bug.I tend to check team stats in Association every 15 games or so, that's why I haven't see it yet I guess.But it's not a big problem that breaks the mode imo.

Yeah I guess I kind of overreacted. the only cases this will bug me until it gets fixed (LD2K of 2K Sports told me he has passed my bug report and screenshots over to the dev team and that they are working on it) is during the in-game stat overlays for teams. but this game is so good I guess I can go past it.

By the way, I tried the Realike HD ENB v2 that was for NBA 2K11, works perfectly fine in 2K12 as well, FPS remains at constant 60, and I get much better colors and shadows. Too bad there's that usual edge noise as with every ENB series I've tried. I hope it doesn't tire my eyes too much, but good thing is that you can disable it with Shift+F12. Hope we'll have a good global out soon.

got a strange problem, installed it yesterday on a friends pc. worked fine. but on mine it wont. always getting windows installer error 1639 after choosing the language at the beginning of the setup. any ideas? search for this error but found nothing that could help

I can't beat 3rd training thing, I have done all the steps and now I have to get 5000 pts by getting by pornstache but Ican never get more than 3.5k or so.
I can't skip it, and i can't go back and do the steps again so I don't really know what the hell. I can only really beat him with one move but it gets less points every time I do it. It's making me rage I just want to see the rest of training

I guess by going into Coaching > Playbook. Haven't dove into choosing my own plays yet, although I'm not growing in fond of some of the default Pistons one, so I'll have to check too.

okay, two games played now (long 12 min quarters) both blowouts. but thats fine, i can take losing. there were a few amazing plays i had to save. but there are a few things that really make me not enjoy the game though. (on all-star sim)
1: AI teammates dont sprint back on break aways, they just jog as the guys on offense go at full speed.
2: they also have random mental fits, just running into a crowd of people to supposedly help on defense (even though my two center are surrounding the ball handler) leaving the 3 ball open (it always goes in too) this happens so many times i am absolutely astounded.
3: they DONT block out. sure my opposition does on defense, but the ai on my team doesn't even think about doing it.
4: whenever the opposition abuse the up and under move, my ai teamates, guys like chandler and marion fall for it EVERY single time. it is LITERALLY a guarenteed 2 points.
5: there is no play in the dallas book that allow barea to attack the hole without at least three big men clogging the lane. (i have not managed ONE barea trademark layup)
6: post defense is way too hard. a total rock scissor paper guessing game now. a good post player is now not even worth competing against. double team every time is the ONLY option cant even have fun competing. (this is fine for dirk, and howard etc. but west?, blatche?, lee? COME ON last time i checked they weren't unguardable one on one)
7: leaving a bit of space to protect the rim works against most players, but against rose, wall etc. the game treats it as if you weren't even standing there in the first place as they get into a beautiful animation to layup, warping straight through you.
AI teammate defense really ruins the fun for me. i know i still need to improve and learn the game, but when i have a great defensive possession keeping out every ball handler and then a 3pt shooter is standing miles open because one of my AI defenders decideed to smell brendan haywood's ass just for fun, it kills the fun right away.
wow im turning into a 2kforum member. hopefully this is a just gut reaction. god i hope this gets better.

^^ If you have problems raise your def awareness slider.This year also you must work your def settings.Hedge is important.
