still have texture problems and got CTD during first quest

I bought my RAGE key from IntKeys about an hour ago They're EU keys though, so don't expect them today... more like the 7th, when the EU launch goes live, but yeah.. damned cheap.

installing right now through steam...hope it will run OK on Nvidia cards
or maybe steam could relase some patches...or Nvidia some new driver, you have the right to make day-dreams...^^"

Fix for the texture problems.

1.Create a Rage shortcut with the following launch parameters:
+cvaradd g_fov 12 +com_allowconsole 1 +com_skipIntroVideo 1 +image_anisotropy 16 +image_usecompression 0 +g_showplayershadow 1 +m_smooth 0

2.Create a file called rageconfig.cfg in Rage/base/ and put the following commands in there:
vt_pageimagesizeuniquediffuseonly2 8192
vt_pageimagesizeuniquediffuseonly 8192
vt_pageimagesizeunique 8192
vt_pageimagesizevmtr 8192

3. Go to C:\Users\UserName\AppData\Local\ and create a folder called "id software" (without "). Then create a folder called "rage" (without ") inside that folder.

4. Run game and play.

how the fuck you do number one?i can also make a shortcut bud cant type those things
number 3 i cant find,my coputer is in english and not i n dutch Sad

Once you've made the shortcut, open PROPERTIES and in the TARGET box, after it says .....rage.exe" put the - commands on that line. They HAVE to be after the "" marks following the .exe. Then save/close and do the other steps.

As for #3... really? Come on, man, use a little skullsweat here

iguess nothing realy works perfect, all the optimizations help to sharp corners here and there but untill id will release real fix , this problem will stay i guess :/

That works great, with the loss of 10/15 FPS depends of wth happens on screen.

Aside, using 110 FOV in this game is really epic, there's no fishy eye effect, might be there but it's tiny Laughing

You need space between Rage.exe and commands ...\Rage.exe +cva... you know.

Because you're not listening. You're missing the " at the end of Rage.exe! Put the " there, put a space between " and +cvaradd and then it will work.

Allright guys, I'm finally finished with downloading (phew* 6Mbit and 18Gb are a bitch).

So what is it with the Textures? Is this an ATI only problem again and NVidia cards are fine?
Or is it for everyone? Any problems with SKIDROW version?

@ evilmonkey It doesn't remove the popup thing, makes it lesss obvious and they load faster.

@ m3th0d2008 On both cards, but the fixes tends more to nVidia side, about ATI well Laughing
