I'm happy to report tha I managed to make it work as well.

Here's what I did, in case anyone else had the same problem (not able to go in vendor mode by unpluggin/replugging the drive):

After sending the "erase" command, I couldn't get to vendor mode, so my drive wasn't recognized anymore by the pc, or at least SEEMED to, and the main xbox led was flashing instead of beeing always on.

What I did was:
-Shutdown everything
-Power up x360 with drive attached to power and SATA attached to PC
-Power up PC.
The drive will NOT be detected in the BIOS post, this is normal, ignore and continue booting
-At the windows logo animation my pc frooze for about 2-3 minutes. This is NORMAL as well, just be patient and wait.
-At the windows logon screen, I logged in and the pc frooze a second time. Again: be patient, it resumes booting eventualy
-Fire up JF, and choose the SATA port the drive is attached to. NOTE: JF will NOT see the drive, it will say there's nothing attached to the SATA, so you MUST remember which port you used before, or just try blindly until you find it.
-Send the INTRO signal , and proceed as usual (unplug/replug when asked)
-Proceed as normal and flash the drive

NOTE: your experience may differ, particularly the fact that the erased drive is not detected and the freezes during boot may be chipset-dependent, im on a P5N-E Sli mobo (nforce chipset)

Just tested gow3, works a charm!

So I have liteon jasper with ixtreme 1.51 and no backup of the drive key. My mainboard is with amd 770 chipset. The steps I think I should follow are:
1. Connect the xbox to PC sata port and use the option dummy from ixtreme to retrieve the drive key
2. Make original firmware with the retrieved key and (attempt to) flash the console with it
3. Update the latest dash from usb drive
4. Flash the console with LT 2.0 following the jungleflasher tutorial
Will I be able to do all these steps without additional hardware (ck3, ect...)? If I successfully retrieve the key and than somehow fuck up the flashing will I be able to repair the drive?

1.Load the dummy.bin as source, load LTPlus-025-v2.0.bin as target, spoof
2.Lite-On Erase followed by plugging the power cable off and back on -> status was 0x72
3.Write
4.Outro
5.Shutdown PC, shutdown xbox, reconnect cables, power xbox back on, test => "Play DVD" on every backup or original game that i've tried
Did i skip anything?

if you put the power cord the upside down it it will kill the drive..
be sure you put it the right way back in I always mark it with an pen to be sure.

I fried a drive that way in the past, won't happen again Very Happy

But that wasn't the problem, I solved it the way I described in my last post.

Think I'll do that as well. The guy that modded my box can't give me the key; either doesn't have it anymore or he's not willing to lose a "customer".
I know I could get the key out but, reading through the comments, there's just so much shit that can go sideways -- especially without the proper tool like the connectivity kit witch seems like a great tool to have -- so I'll take the easy way and just send it in for update some time this week.
Agh... 3 days without the box and -10 euros. :/

wow 10 euros , some ppl here do that for 50 euros ... I found the guy that flashes for 25 euros + post expenses 3 euros. I think that's the lowest that you can find here..but he looks like a pro with all the tools so I don't mind giving him the money + I don't have my key. I bought it flashed so this is my first time doing this..

Well closest guys that mod in or near my city will do it for 25-50 euro too. But I found this guy about 2 years ago that does it cheaper. He's good too - one of the first to do JTAGs around here. There is also less competition here and more there - hence the high prices here and lower ones there.
The shipment is what kills it for me though, 3-4 days. :/

If you don't have dummy/ANY .BIN files, but DO have the entire drivekey, it can be added into LTPlus-025-v2.0.bin via JF, right?

Whats the thing with dummy.bin ? I have LiteOFW.bin is it just the naming of files and nothing else ?

Can this manual method be used to put the drive safely in Vendor mode?

I was thinking of flashing the console on my own this time and I don't want to end up fucking my DVD drive in the process. I don't even have a back up of it's drive key yet. So I'm screwed if the drive messes up before I retrieve the key from it. I don't have a CK3 kit, nor planning to get one. So would the above method be recommended or go the "pull the power cable out" way?

What drive have you got. I personally won't go near flashing if you didn't have the key in nearly all the drives (sammy being the odd one out).

Flashed on Tuesday to get into 1.91 with latest firmware. Tonight the drive is being stubborn and refusing to play nicely Sad

No but I am waiting for the Slim Liteon Firmware. As I have the 272 Drive after the 13599 reflash.

I guess the good news from c4evaspeaks.com is this is now "In Testing".
So I shouldn't have long to wait.

I've been playing Rage on my JTAG. When c4eva releases the slim firmware, I'll copy the game saves to my slim Hard Drive and finish the game. Damn JTAG is "Loud" with it being a Xenon, I need all the extra cooling power I can get.
