Looks more like a temporary way to play Gears of War 3 than a solid solution for playing XGD3 backups. I mean how hard is to check data on those 1,7% or even simply check the disk size which is smaller for backups and then stop the game from running and flag you for ban?

Well the fact is imgburn can't burn the full disk without spitting out an error near the end... so I assume this is what the missing data is? hopefully c4eva will explain why he thinks this is live safe since it doesn't make sense atm.

It passes all the checks for now. But with any update ms does it can switch. So that is why it's okay for now.

So you have them ready for when you finish updating you drive. Same thing happened before in the past -- you had games uploaded, you could download and burn them but they required a firmware update.

Not playable with 1.91
Will be playable on LT 2.0 when released.

The LT+ v2.0 release for Phat models is imminent, and it was
requested that we release these in advance in order to give everyone
time to have them downloaded and ready to play for once the fw goes
public.

Soooo... If I have an old Hitachi rev 46 with its latest and apparent final firmware (lt 1.1 I believe) is there any way to play the xgd3 rips on it? Quite interested in how that is going to work.

The abgx update is the last step before the firmware is released so it's just a matter of max 1week now hence releases are. Coming out

Well my attempt to revive my drive failed, for now, I connected my drive to my new via 6421A raid controller but was unable to get the drive to display a FF72 state. It only showed FF80, which I've read is a busy state. I'm considering sending it in to a "professional" to see if he can recover the drive, if not I may have to buy a new drive and transfer the key to it... The fight continues.
Hardware: Ryzen 3700x, B450 MSI Gaming Pro carbon AC, GTX1080, 32 GB 3200 Mhz cas 14, 256 EVO SSD, 1 TB EVO SSD and 4 TB HDD.
Console: xbox, wii and xbox 360

If your drive is liteon just use l-o-erase.exe to force it to 72
