Yes, I know I could probably find this answer in the 'xbox360 hacking discussion thread' but I have a very specific question. I have never flashed a drive before so was on a steep learning curve, anyway to cut a long story short I fu*ked up my sons Hitachi drive, I kept getting the "To play this disk put it in an xbox 360 console" now as those in the know would know this is because I failed to insert the drive's keys in the firmware I flashed to the drive (or thats my limited understanding of it) Anyway I eventually after 30 million attempts at different configurations of the software and sata ports got it sorted. The stupid thing is I can't fecking remember exactly what I did to get it fixed Obviously I dumped the drives keys before I did anything and reloaded it somehow into Jungleflasher, but I cannot remember what steps I took (been at it for 2 days solid, and tired as hell) So does any kind soul know what procedures I would have followed to get it working? Its an Hitachi GDR-3120L with 79 at the end, sorry I cant be more specific but the 360 is back together and as you know its a bastard to get apart! Any help and simple step by step guide to what I must have done would be helpful I have read all the tutorials I can find but none outline the steps (or none I could find do) Thanks.

didnt you follow the jungle flasher tutorial thats in the documents folder inside the jungle flasher folder. i thought that covered flashing an hitachi well enough - well it did for me. The night is dark and the road is long. Come on dead men, return to your homes.

I think its possible I had an old Pdf file as to be honest it was a pretty crappy tutorial, in fact it mentioned nothing about having to load the key into the firmware to be flashed, I kind of worked it out for myself.

But, as my original post states I would like to know the exact steps to 'insert' the key and which firmware to have as source/target. As I said I really just tried over and over and eventually sorted it, but I was soooooooooo tired by then I cannot remember the steps.

So any quick tutorial?

well i cant remember all the steps off hand. just remember that i read the firmware from the drive, jungle flasher then sets that as the source firmware. i then selected then target firmware based on where the key was stored, mine was at 4e10 so i loaded ix151-79-4e10.bin. then clicked spoof source to target. went to the hitachi page and selected the hitachi drive in the drive section. next i inserted the 79 unlock audio cd and clicked play or was it 79 unlock? cant rember exactly. once unlocked i restored the firmware to stock. once that was done i flashed the lt-plus. i might have missed some steps, but i think that covers it. The night is dark and the road is long. Come on dead men, return to your homes.
