Can someone explain me how does it work? I don't want to search throught millions of pages about PS3 hacking.

Point is I now have modded x360 and now after PS3 is hacked I might want to exchange(or just get new ps3) it for PS3 just in order to play uncharted series or god of war and killzone.

So how is it done?Lets say I buy new PS3 slim with move and from legal store and have downloaded 20gb game. Do I need a bluray burner? I need to install firmawre or something?

I know what the deal is with x360 ixtreme but can someone make it clear for me?

Lots of easy to follow tutorials, just make sure and stick to 3.55 OFW before you do anything

the deal with PS3 is even more simplified , you only use a hacked update that automatically enables you to play .pkf files and thats it , all games can be played from HDD

So thats it? Only installing new comming firmwares and copying game files to hdd? no soldening or buying other stuff ?Very Happy thats even cheaper and easier than xbox 360:P

but it doesnt matter which ps3 I will get? Can I install that firmware on every.

All I understand that there is sometimes a bit of delay for new firmware when new games are coming out but thats not a big deal

it does matter NEW PS3 models with 320gb drives can't be hacked , same goes with ps3 with 3.60

and new games on ps3 get a delay to patch the boot file to make this game run on a 3.55...

you sure about newer 320gb cant be hacked? last time i checked ps3 with 3.56 or 3.60 cant be hacked or the rumored hack safe ps3 which to my knowledge isnt on the market yet

Just follow the guide i posted above, any PS3 with 3.55 OFW or below can be hacked, but stick to the CFW in the tutorial.

BUMP. This sounds like the PSP method of custom firmware.

A friend wants to buy a new PS3, will it be hackable ? Up to which FW version is exploitable ? Or is it only 3.55 ? What if his console has newer ?
