I have the SGS2, and its GREAT!
There are some good web markets with a app for the phone too:
http://snappzmarket.com/market
http://blapkmarket.com
There are some more, but those are the best.
Also there are two good forums, you can get releases from. And see in the comments it the app works without problems on your phone. Mostly games from Gameloft.
http://forum.mobilism.org/viewforum.php?f=398
http://www.mobilephonetalk.com/forumdisplay.php?66-Android-Operating-System-Zone

Also a nice custom rom is MIUI Wink

what insurance company. Laughing this is canada Cool Face
where private internet companies were to get shafted because they offered better and cheaper services than the big boys. where celular companies are only 3 and everything else is frowned upon and hated by the big boys even though some of them own the little companies. Laughing This is a place where a small company cannot survive because the big boys will drive you out of business and it'll be completely legal. Crying or Very sad

i lost my 800 dollar phone. It's my fault. If it's used by assholes. It's my fault. Laughing Sad And i am stuck on contract for 2 more years. Sad so i can't switch or i'll have to pay the price of the phone that i got with the contract (cause I don't really own the phone) and also a cancellation fee which takes into consideration how many months you have left in your contract. so it'll cost my first born to cancel contract. Laughing

Anyway. Is the galaxy 2 a good choice for now? Since getting an iphone now will be next to impossible since it's still the hottest item in the world of canadia. Crying or Very sad

lol the galaxy 2 is the best one you could get right now. Just take it in your hand and you'll feel that is so light, the display is huge compared to the iphone 4 and the contrasts are just brilliant (actually they are even better than brilliant because the contrast ratio is literally unlimited!). The colors are very vivid and it's amazingly fast!

I made a small video for you, but then I realized that I had nothing to cut and process it... so I had to get the whole adobe master edition Laughing

Can someone recommend something small to cut and save an avi (vdub is nice, but I can't save it in any compressed format?)

when you are in the application screen, tap on the menu button, then on edit and then just select the apps you want uninstalled Smile

Or you can (when you are at the home screen *pressing the big button*) tap the menu button, go to settings and then applications and remove it from there.

maybe some apps are included in the rom. So you won't be able to uninstall them on regular ways. Anyway, just pull the apps you want onto your homescreens, it's not like anybody is using the apps screen a lot Laughing

Well the phone does it automatically Razz

For the address book in OS X, it's in its general preferences somewhere. A specific option to sync with Google Smile

It's not almost perfect, it is perfect Smile 100% fluid. If you see jumps in the video it is because of my super cool video cutting abilities Cool Laughing

Next thing is playstation one emulation, but I can't think of PS1 games that I REALLY want to play :O Am probably more interested in Genesis and SNES games Smile Though I have to admit that gameboy games have always been the most fun on my old nokia 6630. They are just perfect for gaming "on-the-go".

Oh and I have another video in the pipeline Smile Time to cut and upload it I suppose Very Happy

More likely that just have found the right apps yet. What are you still missing?

@ Sabin: even my Desire with its measly 1 GHz first gen Snapdragon and Adreno 200 emulates PSX and N64 just fine Razz

Compared to the current generation it is Neutral
Even Adreno 205 is already twice as fast, let alone 220 or the PowerVR 530/535/540 which are in SGS and Apple's stuff or the GPU in the SGS2 Neutral

Really? Well my iPod struggles as all hell to run anything PSX.. and that's based on 3GS tech; the Cortex A8 and the PowerVR SGX-535. So I shudder to think what would happen with n64 Very Happy

That might also just be due to the quality of the emulation Smile
SGX-535 shouldn't be worse than mine :/
