I played on 2 maps and I think I saw a third. The two maps I played on were the subway one and one with lots of flora. But I also entered a quick game (when I couldn't get it to go fullscreen) in a map on some streets, with very many of debris flying around. That's why I said "at least 2". |

It's 30+fps, and it is really playable 
I tried it on Windows 8 dev build. |
30FPS is SHIT in a shooter, true that 30 runs "smooth", but 60 runs wicked, like your lubed hand right before jerking off.
Cant deny any fact that 30 < 60 fps in shooters by far.

I liked it a lot. Obviously there are beta bugs like flickering here and there, and sometimes I fell through the geometry.  But it will be fixed perhaps a few months after release so no worries. 
If the bugs are fixed, I love the feel a lot. Feels much better for me than BC2. A lot more weighted. Shooting also feels good. |

sabin you can say what you want, but thinking mw3 will be the salvation of *whatever* seems a bit wishful thinking. This will be the 3rd identical MW game in 2 years , slightly different (and for many a worse) version of mw1. MW has become an easy-mode, no recoil, spray n pray till you killstreak console shooter with small maps and no skills required.
BF2 was better than mw, bf2142 was better, bc2 was better and bf3 will be better aswell.
Battlefield , despite being also on console now, are PC Shooters,
Call of Duty are, despite being on pc aswell, Console Shooters.

It feels great for me, too. Recoil is just enough not to spray like a maniac. It takes less shots to kill someone (no need to chase someone in the building just to finish him off - a couple of accurate shots and bam).
And finally proper hitboxes!
Downsides: bugs in the UI. Like you said, flickering, sometimes that blue tint from pause menu stays in game, and collisions with the terrain. |
But I remember similar crap from the early BC2 beta as well. It will be sorted.
But now you know why the beta is coming to PC first and console later. |

I said nothing of the kind. I simply said "MW3 beater? No" and that, in my honest opinion, is true. BC2 didn't "beat" MW2, not by sales and not by amount of people playing. Does that mean MW2 is the better game? Subjectively, to me, yes, but not to everyone. But I sure as hell never said MW3 is the salvation.
