POST AA I disabled, the thing that when you hover over says it will increase blur??? the second one of the two in options? Thats off and 4x on the one above is on.
Ive only tried 11.10. Im rolling back to 11.8 to see if the LAG issue i feel is still present.
Like i said, 60 - 80fps should be silky smooth but it feely clunky,nothing like bc2 that I get the same fps but it feels like 60-80 fps

Pumpy got roughly the same performance as us, with a lower resolution, running on his Athlon X4 and a 4850. Honestly, this game seems to outright REQUIRE an i5 and GTX560 (ATi equivalent; 6950) before it can be considered playable by any decent standard.
It probably does require either a low quad-core or an overclocked 2core to play decently.
But you definitely don't need a 560 or a 6950. I'm playing with half the settings at high, half at ultra, HBAO on and 2s MSAA with a 5850 and I keep 30+ fps.
It seems like the CPU is what leads to terrible performance. Either that, or buggy drivers.
Im thinking its driver related. the video sausje or whatever his name is shows the game running at maybe like 30fps? mine at 70fps looks like and runs like that. wtf

If Pumpy's quad and 4850 doesn't get playable framerates on LOW, why am I going to believe the word of a nobody that says "runs fine for me on medium"?

Well then maybe they just flagged your account with a "poor performance" tag because they knew you'd be playing .
Honestly you should have more than enough to run the game smoothly at medium/high settings. I would have played around with old drivers since the problem doesn't seem to be a lack in hardware, but a software problem. But I don't think you like the game enough to bother with any of this anyway.

Regardless of what you purchase (sandy-bridge or the new bulldozer), you'll see a decent boost. Consider as well that your current card is a bit of a drawback.

Fuck yeah, so much better than Battlefield. The recoilless weapons, the spinning guns animation, the martyrdom grenade, the 10 feet knife jump. Battlefield 3 and BC2 (and Frostbyte in general) just don't feel right. Gunplay is just shit.
