Yup, put the biggest smile on my face this morning...

Just waiting to see the new images up (I presume there will be new disk images) abd start collecting for the release of the firmware...

C4eva and any team are pretty damn amazing, 2 huge problems both solved.. Smile

I'd love to shake his hand, whereas M$ most likely want to shake his throat!!

of course we'll never know who he is but m$ must curse every time he brings out a new firmware - and especially so when this one lands i suspect. hopefully a month or so of testing and then release just in time for the november AAA games.

I've a question (I'm at work so admittedly not googled hard).
My housemate decided to play F1 2011 in last night and update my dash for me (I'd not told her to play it in their defence) Sad

So, I've got the official stock firmware, I have my dvd key. It's a Lite-On DG-16D2S (74850C) drive.

Do I have to do a complete redump of the key (using the probe) or can I force my old key back in with the LT1.9 reflash?

As far as I know, if you already have your DVD key saved then you simply inject that into LT1.91 and flash as normal. Though, don't you still need the probe/etc to flash?

If you have your key just reflash it and you´r done Smile
No need to re-read the key.

Why the "Laughing"?

Also, if you already have the drive key.. do you still need the probe/connectivity kit or is there someway to simply just flash the new FW ontop of LT via Windows? That's the part I was never clear on, which is why I always used the kit regardless..... which I no longer have.

When you have the key, you just hook it up with your PC sata cable and just erase and write with jungleflasher.

At least for the DG-16D2S (74850C)

I have the same drive:)

now that this has happened what's the likelihood of MS just releasing a mandatory dash update every other month that flashes the drive back to stock? It won't prevent piracy but it'll be annoying as hell

Nobody said fuck c4eva and while LT-Max sounds good on paper... remember; LT2.0 has been promised for MONTHS now and it still hasn't surfaced. In the meantime, JTAG machines can do absolutely everything and play absolutely everything.

c4eva is a bloody god for all his work, but he's not the ONLY option available Wink
