Do you play football? I play as a defender (amateur, natch) and what I do is close down my opponent and wait for the exact moment to nick the ball away. This is what FIFA 12 does, you close down (jockey) with the A button and then nick the ball with the B button.
The new system is sure to take some time to get used to, but it is closer to the real deal. |
The whole defending/tackling experience is frustrating, once the opponent is in the clear I just give up cause even a sliding tackle is fucking useless. Hate how defending is all about timing now. |
That's what defending is all about, that and positioning. FIFA is trying to be a simulation. A sliding tackle when the opponent is in the clear is generally worse than useless, it's a red card waiting to happen.
Of course they still need to implement it right and only having played the demo, I don't know yet if they have. It will probably take a month before people are used to it, if you are defending well now then when you get used to it you will be unbeatable, and that's not fun for anyone.

Well zibz it means that you suck at playing fifa. Get used to it. Try to learn the new system. It is the way it;s ment to be played. You the player battle and strugle for the ball not the computer by pressing one button. Why wasn't there only one button to press for everithing. I supose when you play real football (if you do) you would like to be with a joystick in your hand and the ball moves as you want right ? ..... Try to move on with the times stop wanking and make a mental effort for a chance.

maybe it's time to learn the new system, like spain 2010 does?
let me say it's ridiculous to read that type of things, one cannot play super strong in the first matches and immediately feels frustrated and aggressive versus the game.

Don't we love people that state their personal opinions as facts ? you're no better than thousands of little kids that gonna flame pes players saying that fifa is better for a fact.
It's even worse considering that fifa 12 hasn't been released yet, have you played both games to their fullest? Tournaments/career modes in both games, online-modes in both games, compared the new features of both games ?
Because obviously you are implying that fifa 11 was better then pes 11, which is interesting given that both games didn't make a gigantic leap forward.
But you should definitely create your own Reviewing Site, it would read like this:
"So i just got my hands on pes 2012, i played the fifa 12 demo too, and i gotta say, pes is just better this year."

Thinking about getting a key for multiplayer, cheapest I've found is £21.80 http://elitekeys.com/fifa-12-cd-key?filter_name=fifa Anywhere cheaper? Also, what's the likelihood of these keys getting banned for the wrong region? Assuming these are grey market keys scanned from Russia or something.

Depends if you like Ultimate Team mode really. I like UT but I'd just buy the standard edition and earn cards myself anyway.

I'm just reading about it now, so extended version is a few extra cards for the UT mode, but i can still play it and earn them in game? If that's all it is i'll stick with the standard version.

Thx, got it from there, instant delivery, no hassle. As opposed to G2play.net who made all kinds of crazy demands before delivery, eventually got refunded.
Really looking forward to this game, always been a PES fanboy, but last years release got almost nothing to put up against FIFA.

I got mine from that CJS key store today, it was sent instantly so i registered it on origin, i'm in the UK so i'm guessing it unlocks on the 29th?
