5. Choose Regular rather than Vertex lighting.

That's backwards. Vertex lighting is the lower quality/higher performance setting.

LMFAO, if you think that computer is the best money can buy, you really should pay more attention to tech news.

I was disappointed too, I read your whole post and was expecting to see something about a VapoChill Lightspeed, or a P4 840 EE @ 5Ghz paired with 8Gb of DDR2 800, dual RAID+0 74Gb Raptors, and a couple of 6800U's in SLI.

BTW, your speakers out of all things, wont make Boiling Point run any faster. Wink

Just a note.

actually not a bad setup if it was used by the correct overclocker.as for P4 8400 EE I think you will find that the fx-55 trounces that in benchamrks, the 2MB L2 cache is useless.also 2 6800 ultras in SLI run no better than an overclocked X800XTPE due to SLI being a waste of time atm since its very unoptimised and in its infancy.also 8GB RAM is no better than 2GB as this games bottleneck will not be the RAM beyond 2GB, but the gfx card memory and core.

but yeah a well overclocked system with high end parts will trounce that setup. Im running a 3700 San Diego at 2.9GHz,1GB OCZ VX at 264MHz 1.5-2-2-x timings with an X850XTPE clocked to 630/630 with 2 74GB Raptors in raid 0.i find the game runs fine 40-50fps at all times though it does need patched for the bugs and it really should run better.

Wewt!

To all of you who cant start the game (nothing loading etc) i found a way to fix this (for me at least). I had Rage3d Tweak installed and closing that did the trick. It's a pretty common program for people with ATI-cards so hopefully this will help some of you.

thanks! it did the trick for me Very Happy. If someone will do "quit" on rage3d icon and it won`t help. Tryc ctrl + alt + del combination and in processes kill "gameutil.exe". This will quit rage3d definitely. Thanks javlar!

vertex lightning is better.

I tried the game here, let the default settings and when the game is "playing" the computer can handle it without lag but at every moves like every 5sec it stop 1sec to load somethign because I only got 512ram... so it's not a video card/cpu problem but only the ram.. i'll try to lower a few settings but in my opinion it's useless, it help the video card not the amount of ram used to load everything.
