Ixigia and I have a glorious master plan Frant, care to join?
Blackmail Slightly Mad into doing a rally game for 2012, F1 for 2013, next Shift for 2014. Rinse and repeat, sounds good to us.
If you have COMODO firewall and a crash after the razor intro, try this (even if you thinks it was desactivated) :
- Open comodo interface
- Clic on the defense+ tab and clic on defense+ settings
- Clic on "execution control settings" tab and clic on "exclusions" at the bottom right
- Clic on add-> browse and locate your f1 2011 folder, push the right arrow to put this folder on the right windows and clic apply
- Closes the windows with OK
Wow entire year later and this POS still locks up out of no where and gets choppy for no reason. Complete worthlessness .
Check your system. No one else has technical problems with the game. The game runs smoothly on my ancient system too q6600,8800gt -> 1080p,All high and it seems there's space going to ultra in some settings.
The only big difference with F1 2010 in terms of visuals is the horrible brownish palette that has been removed (the rest is basically the same):
No, it has been toned down.
Yes, the piss filter is gone, but so are a lot of things:
- Overall, textures are a lot less detailed
- Shadows are greatly reduced
- Reflections are greatly reduced
The game looks completely bland now, more like LFS than the AAA title it's supposed to be.

it's harder since even on medium you really have to spend some time getting used to the track and car to be in a good position, unlike 2010 where you could even score a pole in less than 10 laps
That has got fuck all to do with the game though. Welcome to racing games, where knowing the track layout is pretty darn important. What you describe here makes absolutely no sense, it can't be harder than before - you may not know some of the tracks because they weren't in last year, but that doesn't make the game harder. Learning the track is quite normal and you had to do that in 2010 just the same
well i know some tracks by fucking heart and you still have to know where and how to fucking break especially if you're not using a steering wheel
it's not really harder, it's different, a bit
PS
the reflectivty is more detailed in 2011
you can clearly make out each add reflected in the car, and it's not just trees left and right
Ffs in monaco 100% race hardest mode 7th with Lotus. 2 flat tires both 2x in the begin of the lap. Front left, back left. And the last lap on old tires with no grip. Fun game.
Looks like I'm the only one without technical problems here (no crashes, no lag nor framerate problems), too bad that I'm not enjoying the game that much.

No issues here too.I rarely have technical issues with games. The only game I couldn't get it to launch in my 20+ years pc gaming history is Alice Madness.
I actually found the game enjoyable, and i played only 2 practices 1 qualy and a race. Fun, Ai seems pretty good. I havent driven a F1 car ( Duh ) but i have raced and currently drifting and i like how the game feels. It has challenge and fun. Maybe not the REAL F1 SIMULATOR but you cant say its ridge racer either. As F1 2010 im enjoying it, and im liking this one since it has a lot of improvements.
