God i love the 13599 update. Just bought a complete boxed Jasper with a bad dvd firmware for £40, the guy said he thinks he used a wrong dvd key!!
It was on an older dash so i thought i'd risk updating with 13599 and see what that thought about the borked firmware before i pulled it apart. well it updated and reflashed the drive back to stock without a problem.
Not entierly sure what the guy had done, the dvd ejected but would read nothing, just sat at the 360 logo.
So if anyone has a similar problem it's worth a try.
Now i have a lovely Jasper awaiting glitch'n

No mate, have you recently flashed it? if i remember doesn't that indicate Mode B
X360key has already being shipped to resellers and c4eva seems to have developed a ripping tool for xgd3 games but still in beta stage now eagerly awaiting fsd for glitch its almost 3 weeks now!
Is there a decent knowledge base for Jtag references and the like?
Yeah, I'm using google at the minute but I know little about setup and updating of Jtags and I'm wondering if buying an off the shelf jtag is a wise move.

- man this looks great! It's not even about warez stuff anymore, the dash just looks great and practical; way better than what Microsoft put out for it's box and absolutely way better than the new metro(sexual)-dash they're bringing out this fall. Don't know for sure if it's for RGH(definitely JTAG), but seeing how it's supposed to be released later this year I optimistically thinks it will support RGH.
Or it might just mean that it'll be out when it's done -- maybe sometime @ end of this year-early next year, no specific date. That way they'll keep the pressure of from those member of the community that keep asking for release date every 5 min...

sorry for lame question, just loaded F1 2011 XBOX360-COMPLEX and prompts me to update dashboard
I have slim with LT 1.90 or 91 don't remember and dashboard 2.01346. How can I update to 2.0.13599.0 dashboard without flashing my drive (liteon, so it would be last firmware flash in its life )

Honestly? I don't believe you can, I'm afraid. The new dashboard will attempt to flash your drive and that will drop you back to "official" firmware, requiring a fresh flash of LT1.9
If I'm not mistaken, it only locks it from dumping the key... if you already HAVE the key it should be fine. Though I'd wait for someone who has already updated and flashed to come along and offer more concrete advice =)

c4eva did not yet tell anyone how we can burn the games. So this will be a very long wait. I think we can put our money on the glitch hack + russian friends that will bring gboot ;P
