I would say it's definetely going to be longer on my hard drive.. Cool Face In some aspects of the game FIFA 12 is still miles away. But I still have a feeling that master league in PES is going to be much more interesting to play..not to mention that I still love shooting from a distance in PES.

My friends mostly play FIFA 11 now , not sure how's gonna turn out this year..what we will be playing more , let's wait and see. It's difficult to change games in short periods of time..I was playing PES for over a decade..and I needed a couple of years to realise some things in PES. In that time I didn't owned any console.

But at the end I agree , best PES since 6 ... other ones are horrendous.

Yeah, Fifa is still incredibly superior when it comes to animations/flow of the game but the two games are much more similar now (in a good way), since PES copied some aspects from FIFA and FIFA copied other aspects from PES Razz

And in the end we, players, won. I think both games are great this year. I don't know which one I would play more

Fifa will sell so much this year (it is better than 2011, especially on PC!) and a LOT of people will switch to FIFA from PES. So Konami will most probably think that they went in the wrong direction with PES 2012 and will fuck up the 2013 again Sad Or they will stop the PES franchise :O

Lots of people think Fifa 12 is a stepdown from Fifa 11, especially if they fail to fix that impact engine. And Pes is much better than last year. I can see more people switching to Pes than switching to Fifa but I expect Fifa to sell much better than Pes. Anyway, its not really my problem Troll Face

But I don't think there is a danger of stopping the Pes franchise since its quite successful for Konami even with the couple of horrid years. There was also talks about mo-capping Ronaldo so hopefully they will focus more on the animation system and the overall presentation of the game.

I hope EA gets their head out of their asses and starts working on bigger changes and not this patch like features as their development kinda stalled mainly because Konami didn't offer anything proper.

what?
and how you "can see more people switching to pes than switching to fifa" when the games are not avaiable now?
lots of people think that fifa12 it's a step down from fifa11? dumb people i think, everything , judgin from the demo, it's better , more polished, more reactive...impact engine its new, young, has its faults, but nothing that can ruin the gameplay experience.

The sales for PES 2011 haven't been that bad, especially on the PS3; though if I recall correctly Fifa 11 sold something around three times the numbers of PES (with UK being the lead country in Europe).

Funny, me and my friends all think FIFA 12 is a let down, unresponsive pile of bugs with retarded collision engine.

Does it really have to be a competition every year between the 2 games?

I know I'll purchase both, fifa is pretty much the same as 11 it is an improvement I don't see how someone could say otherwise. sure the impact engine is buggy but it adds a lot of fun especially when playing with your mates.

Pro evo is starting to remind me why I spent a ton of time playing it until it went 'dodgy' after pes6 it lacks the smoothness of animations fifa has but for me it's fun to play again. The keepers seem completely crap but I guess you can't have everything, will make a nice change online compared to fifa where people just try to get in the box you will have to deny the midfielders more space to avoid shots.

The game looks so much better without the vaseline filter:

@BLaM: as for the GKs I agree, they're a lot better than the first demo but still quite far from being perfect, especially when it comes to long distance shots

advantage play seems perfect to me,

i do find the ai can score at will if im winning but be totally dumb when im not. (always been in pes though)

also they have manual passing, why not manual shooting Sad

still other than that it plays brilliant. but the comeback AI and full manual has always held pes back. (although i haven't really bothered with it in the last three years though, so cant speak for them.)

Release date seems to be after Fifa? which is a big mistake to me would surely make more sense to release a couple of weeks before, can't see a lot being mental enough (like me) to buy 2 football games without a couple of weeks, pc version is cheap enough which ain't too bad I suppose.

I think this is being released on Tuesday in the Americas and two weeks later everywhere else. Strange strategy if true, they'll be shooting themselves in the foot if they give FIFA a two week advantage in the biggest football market in the world (Europe). Hopefully we'll get a pc release soon.

nah, it's sort of split up. i think the mainland europe version will be out 29th (same as the NA version), and the only one that is really 2 weeks behind is the uk one. i think that's down to some sort of licensing issue, no idea what exactly.

Only UK release is 14/10/2011.It's a good move by KONAMI.Most european pes customers buy the game online from UK' stores.Game is now localised in almost every european country so they want to support local markets and increase local sales. It has nothing to do with licensing issues.Game is out 27/09 in Greece.
