Interesting..it's the mod team behind the Source Engine-based MP mod Age of Chivalry (which is actually quite good). They're using the UDK though, we'll see

Age of Chivalry was already incredibly entertaining, so if they have improved the gameplay mechanics and added juicy graphics, it's a win.

I can say that it shits a steamy dump on War of the Roses, that's for sure already  (even though that's not that hard anyway) |
thats a shame to hear about wotr... i was watching various vids of chiv and wotr etc and wotr seems to have a nice aiming etc system to it... and it did not look that bad, infact in vids it seems no different in play style to chiv.. but proof is in the pudding I guess. |

Hahah yeah I tried the beta back then and..well it was disappointing, very. After 15 minutes I was already done with it. |

I don't know about M&B, but I own War of the Roses and I think it's REALLY bland and boring. This game however, I find A LOT more fun. It's so much more immersive and I find the combat much more engaging and fun. I never quite found the fun factor in WotR. I always felt like WotR was trying but not actually getting there, this game on the other hand surprised me by how good it is when you consider how little it costs...
And it looks gloriously good graphically speaking. I don't regret buying this in the slightest, WotR on the other hand.
But like I said, I haven't played much of M&B (not my kind of game) so... |
Yeah, that's what I'm saying. WotR is awful, and Chivalry gets just about everything spot on. I hope it takes off.

The netcoding will make or break this game... i just read that there will be dedicated servers which is a plus in their favor... and its a PC title which is rare as we all know.

well i can say...
The netcoding is spot on, the graphics are spot on, the sound and atmosphere is spot on, you wont find anything better in this style this year!
