You have to backup the "userdata" folder in your smartsteam folder.

Like this for example:

X:\$mart$team\userdata\XXXXXX\XXXXX\remote\out

I am 15% into the story after like 6hours of gameplay. game is very very addicting. Also it looks great. View is astonishing at some points.
anyway:

I have few questions about game which I don't get.

What is a difference between damage and force?(I am blunt)
Why are all the weapons stats looking like this - 112+66(+11) ?!

and one more. Do I unlock new skills only be investing in skill above? How to unlock new skills to purchase? Becouse first few survival skills are useless and others are blocked. level 10


edit: And even one more question. Whats does color names mean on weapons?

I think force influences the chance of knocking a zombie down with a successful hit. It's also added to your damage when you hit a zombie which is down on the ground. So the higher the better is the rule. Very Happy

I asked this before but didn't get much of an answer.

Are there actual throwing weapons in the game or are you stuck throwing the melee weapons?

I realise some of them has a high thrown damage but it's still not very effective when it takes three knives to kill a zombie and you get attacked by three or four at a time.

If you mean something with a quantity as opposed to a one-off shot, nope I don't think so. Logan's boomerang skill somewhat counters this though, and I think small knives in general could be considered more throwing than melee weapons.

Yeah you need to put at least 3 points into one tier (excluding the tiers with just one 0/1 talent obviously) before the next one unlocks. If you could just pick whatever you wanted, no one would pick the crappier talents higher in the talent trees. Very Happy

Color codes denote the item's quality level:

Common (White)
Uncommon (Green)
Rare (Blue)
Unique (Violet)
Exceptional (Orange)

So generally speaking an orange item should be better than a blue one, but level differences still apply - I found orange brass knuckles that I didn't even use since I already had better blue ones with a higher ilvl.

Yup, we got to the same part while co-opping, Nikolai gave his guest giver's monologue bit but nothing appeared on the quest log. We also found the guy (Sergei?) in the city but nothing came out of that, either.

Yes, same thing happened to me. I had a fully-upgraded axe with some mod (forgot what it was) and I accidentally switched it with another weapon, and surprisingly I couldn't find it where it was dropped. Crying or Very sad

Guys; if you get quests that don't show you on the map.. it means they're either in a following act/area (such as the Town, if you're in the Resort) or because you're supposed to actually search and discover for yourself.

hmmm.. Ive throwed my dependable wrench in exploding zombie and DIED. after i respawned and made my way back to his corpse the wrencch was still there!!!

Don't repack the archives after editing them, put the files in \out\data.
(Folders and such don't matter, anything in there will be read but it's easiest to keep it consistent and sorted like how the .pak files are.)

* Fixed mouse sensitivity & in zoomed mode (set the mouse sensitivity to default)
* Improved player movement
* Health Hud does not disappear

So that's why my character takes a swig every now and again after picking those up, kinda like the intro movie shows. Razz

EDIT: Compared the files against data2.pak, they're made from 1.00 code and thus rather incompatible with the updates there.
(Some stuff is minor like the improved water rendering in the shader file edits whereas others like the .def files and hud.xui are not really usable at all without bugging up the additions from that patch - some additional keybinds and support for the arena DLC as far as I can tell.)
