ive tried the game.. it runs very nice and it was nice..
till i lost my saves... -.- (black box version -it has incl. patch 1)
Meh, guess ill have to wait for some more patches..

youre using smartsteam? voicechat is broken there,doesnt react on push to talk settings
could anyone provide a allready-hexedited dll?

which way were you playing?
apply reloaded patch 1
apply coop mod fix
add game to steam as a non steam game
in steam goto settings and on the downloads+cloud tab and make sure "enable steam cloud synchronization" is ticked.
then you wont lose save games.

already mentioned probably aswell as the way to get real AA on nvidia cards , aswell as how to remove DOF and blur and bloom

WAIT, so, if you place the default_levels.xml in
Dead Island\DI\out\data\skills
it will override the file inside Data0.pak, so will not need to use a hex-edited .dll?

steam forum has a thread allowed with this change in it.. there are big links to vac and what to be careful with in regard to the alteration.. they dont seem to of closed the thread so it seems like seeing as the game was a abortion on release they are saying hey ok no worries/./

Any ports i need to open for co-op?
My friends cant see my game, all firewalls (except router) are off.

My saves are still disappearing. Steam cloud was already enabled when I checked. It only saves my latest character. The only thing I haven't done in your list is apply the coop mod fix. That shouldnt' make my saves disappear would it?

This game is such a pos atm, such hardcore bugs that make it unplayable, too bad as the game could be a gem. It's the first time I see a steam game use IT'S OWN VOICE CHAT, how fucking retarded is that? Especially that it doesn't have any opptions and steam has it's own voice chat, ie. you're royally fucked if you try to use a 3rd party app.
