What is there to investigate? It's enough to require a copy from the version Steam's spreading and see if it is the dev build or not.

Investigation at Techland's dungeons is done.Verdict:
There isn't a final /retail version of Dead Island for the pc.They were too busy polishing the amazing COJ: The Cartel.

Go to Video Menu (can't be in-game, do it from the main menu) and selection Resolution - then press LEFT or RIGHT on the arrow keys. The mouse clicking works as well, but it's very temperamental for me, whereas arrow keys work all the time.
VSync keeps disabling itself, movement feels laggy and seems to suffer from random acceleration and the mouse is painfully sluggish in the menus. God damn you Derpland, fix this bloody mess.

Fuck. Guess I am going to hold off playing till it gets fixed. I am tempted to ask steam for a refund but don't know how successful that would be.

I tried the game to see what's with it. It looks horrible with all the vaseline on it and I don't know if it's the performance which should be better considering how it looks, but the whole game feels sluggish as hell.

The game itself looks and plays awesome... it's just buggy and needs some TLC. I'm hoping that it's just due to the dev-build SNAFU.

I simply can't understand what went so wrong at Techland. It's like they are a completely other company. The first 2 CoJ games were some really polished, amazing looking and great games. Now what the hell is this Chrome Engine 5, it looks horrible, way worse than Chrome Engine 4 and both The Cartel and this are some really messed up games.
