This movie was meant for the big screen ... some shitty ass crap workprint with counters all over the screen doesn't cut it.

well, im in a bit of a pickle here...
1. i wanna see the flick.. but NOT dubbed in german, which is the ONLY way i can see it on the big screen
2. i can watch the movie from some shitty ts release that is sure to drop within the next 24 hours
either way, it's gona suck... so im basically just forced to wait... if my bro wants to see it tomorrow then i guess i'll have to dish out some cash for the theatre, but the bank is low, so maybe not (they charge extra here for big big big name movies, bastards)

I'll probably go see it in the cinema too. I think the movie deserves a second chance as the workprint didn't really do it justice. It has some fantastic imagery.

I am going on Sunday with the Wife
I watched the WP last night cause I couldnt sleep (toothache) but that wont stop me going to see it, Films like this should be watched on the big screen.

Seriously, do they STILL dub movies in germany ? That is so fuckin lame..very very sad. Why do they do that? There are lot of other non english speaking countrys that dont dub...example here in finland, so why in germany?

of course i'm going to see it!
because:
a) the leaked release is not as good quality as the cinema. even subsequent releases of better quality will not match full cinema quality
b) i don't have a tv the size of a cinema screen (or a projector, or my own cinema)
lets face it, the people who download it and watch it instead of going to the cinema are those people who don't care enough about the film to go and see it in the cinema at all, or simply can't afford it. so either way, the filmakers aren't going to get money out of them.

i thought they would at least have had Harrison Ford in the prequels as Hans dad, with a baby Han, the way they did with Boba Fett
but no, they decided to make them suck instead

Should edit question to "for those of you planning on seeing episode 3..." as many of the no votes are from people who wouldnt see it anyways...
If you are someone who wants to watch it and watch the leaked copy, you are obviously mentally challenged. even semi-intelligent people go to the theatre or wait for the dvd rip...

I'm not going to the cinema to see this film - in fact I hardly ever go to the cinema, I prefer watching movies in the comfort of my own home cinema entertainment system. The only time I did go turned out to be a minor disaster (at the premiere of the first LOTR movie), the theatre got so hot I nearly choked, probably due to my astma. I'm not grabbing the workprint, rather I'll wait for a proper XviD DVDscr.

Simple answer, Germany is crowded you know  we have a population of over 80Mill ppl here so there is a big enough market to dub EVERYTHING (and that sucks big time  ) It is simply not profitable to dub tv or movies in small countries like holland, denmark or finland.

Thx god that im live in Poland (atleast for that) I can watch movies subbed  they shouldn't dubbed such films as StarWars because the're classic .. Alone in the dark or Catwomen that's film that should be dubbed

don't drag german dubbing into the dirt. i myself prefer the original versions too, but usually the german dubbed versions are excellently done, spoken by profesional actors / dubactors. yes there are a lot english jokes and stuff that won't work in german but it is not all that bad.
btw...i don't know yet. i someone drags me in i will watch it. if not i won't. i think lucas is a poor director.
