Not sure what the point is waiting for a crack for this game, I seriously doubt it will be much fun playing it alone and I highly doubt you will be playing MP with the cracked version anytime soon

To me this doesn't look like Left 4 Dead.. I think it'll be fun playing alone.

To me it looks a lot like a Borderlands without the cell shading in with zombies and borderlands was IMO not that fun playing alone

Aside from a slow start, solo Borderlands is okay. I might give it + the DLC's another shot before BL2 is released.

I think, when a PC game deserves it, like the last Deus Ex HR, why not buy it ?
I was also considering buying some DLC for the new AoE Onlie, but didn't find yet anything in the store near my living place.
But when a game is bad or merely average or just nothing special (like Dragon Age 2 or Crysis 2), I will just DL it, that's all.

Expect this to look pretty much the same as The Cartel. Except, probably, with more objects in the levels. But visually, the same.

I already saw the game in action, it wasn't playing like CoJ at all, it's just that I still can't comprehend why would CE5 would look worse than CE4.

Crysis 2 says "Hi Claude!" Besides, as JB said; two totally separate teams working on these games. Nothing about The Cartel will apply to Dead Island.

Maybe I'm not into the whole zombie thing, so far what I've seen of the game didn't do that much for me.
I'll try the unavoidable ****ROW release, though.

CryEngine 3 had lower res textures and consolized levels, but the Cartel iteration of the engine is worse altogether compared to the one used in Bound in Blood and I think it's safe to say, even the Chrome Engine used in the first Juarez looked better, at least when it came to level design and "next-gen" filters.
I am honestly pissed about The Cartel. It ruined a beloved franchise.

I don't disagree, but this isn't the Cartel thread.. nor is it the Call of Juarez thread... nor, for the last time, is it the same team involved. Cartel != Dead Island. Just because the team that made Cartel fucked up royally, doesn't mean the same for Dead Island... considering Dead Island is NOT made by the same team that made The Cartel.
The quality of Dead Island is infinitely better than that of The Cartel.

I really hope that's true as far as gameplay is concerend anyway... I think the game "looks" fine - I haven't made up my mind whether to buy or not yet but my money is burning a hole in my pocket. I'm looking to the US release to maybe throw some light on it so I can be persuaded to buy before the release over here.
