yup the price ranged between $800 and $600 ... I mean if its $600 im getting it day one hahaha - look - combining 3D, Oled and VR headmount has been my dream for years ... there is no head tracking but hey, they mentioned that it looks like a 140 inch screen and you do not see the corners or anything, so u have a huge 3d picture in front of you - im sure it will work great with ps3 (which I never play games on, but whatever) ... I just keep thinking about being in my bed laying out, relaxing ... while my head is plugged into a 3d immersive world of a movie or a game ... If you are not into 3d technology this is probably not the product for you. ...
Carl Zeiss is one of the top manufacturers when it comes to lenses and optics in general, but yeah otherwise Sony might have a better quality product overall. A comparative review between these two would be great, they'll both be released around the same time as well.
The engadget article is probably wrong about the resolution - afaik it is 720p like Sony's.
Found the exact details Sony mentioned: it's 'as if you were watching a 750-inch screen viewed from 20m away'.
REALLY have to try and demo this somewhere - because if it works as good as they claim, I'll just ditch my plans for getting a projector and get one of these babies instead.
