Whaddya mean? Apart from the ghastly "Call of Juarez - The Cartel" their games have been pretty good -- especially CoJ 1+2 and the Chrome titles.

They've had a few slip-ups such as Nail'd and the new CoJ but their games record has been pretty decent throughout the years.

So the site "suddenly" is down? Looks very suspicious. But if some of you already bought from there and got their keys..

Allright... GMG is dead to me...

It's not that I wanted to buy Dead Island anyway, but if I wanted to, I couldn't on GMG.

Another one bites the dust.. getting shafted on GMG even though it's totally legal to sell it to us...

I'm extremely pissed at GMG now.. what a bunch of idiots. They should do their own research about German Media laws instead of listening to some Publisher idiot who doesn't know shit about it. GOD DAMN!

Yeah that pisses me off too, i wonder why a UK retailer would give a shit about what "status" the game has in Germany. And its not even "forbidden" here. Maybe i'll try intkeys since its only 20eur there.

EDIT: whoops, nevermind intkeys.com then...

Got my Key from GMG about an Hour ago, they are region-restricted, mine would only activate by using a UK VPN. Specifically said Dead Island (UK) in Steam, preloading works without VPN though.

Also got my key from GMG and I'm pre-loading it now. I think I saw that mine key is for Western Europe but where I could check that?

I purchased at GMG and received my key today. I'm in the US and steam activated the NA/RoW (rest of world) version. I think this means I'll be online on the 6th.

If I make another account on GMG and purchase another copy, could I log into my buddies german steam account and activate the US version for him? Since my IP is from the US, it should work, right?

Right after activation when Steam tells you something like "The following Products have been added etc. blah blah.." in the Window below it said "Dead Island (UK)". No Idea if you can check it after purchase.

it was Western Europe for me as well, not UK, even though I paid in GBP.

Sencom, did you perhaps purchase the game while still on the UK proxy?
Because I used a UK proxy to create the account and get the GBP prices, but purchased the game on my normal ip.

Just a guess.
