What's funny about this quote, is that the gameplay video was obviously sped up; whats that about brains wandering off.
And having never played a driver - has it always been just a racing game? I thought it was more than that. |
it's not a racing game, those street races are just side missions. the original driver was about driving missions (more or less very sophisticated version of GTA)
finished this one on the 360 today - it's kinda enjoyable for chilling out after work, but herp derp all the way through. story? hahaha. driving skills? fuck that shit, just switch into an oncoming car and ram it head on into the guy you're pursuing, rinse repeat. extremely arcadey gameplay, average gfx but at least the game world is massive and well done.
it's just really sad to watch the progression of this franchise:
takedown in driver 1: skillfully slam the backside of your car into the front of your opponent
takedown in driver 4: same, just the other way around
