It has nothing to do with being a pussy, just the opposite. This game is piss easy if you go around killing/KO-ing everyone. Some people just like to have some challenge in their games, that's all.

Stealth was piss easy with cloaking field too TBH.

Adding " -config" to the target line of the game's shortcut, will open the configuration dialog, when double clicking it.

Registry, it's posted earlier but at ~300 pages it's a bit much I guess. Razz

It's under:
hkey_local_user/software/syswow64 (or what it's called for 64-bit OS's again.)/eidos/deus ex/graphics

If I remember correctly.
(Also has some general settings before the graphics "tab" and a similar "tab" for audio settings.)

As it's the Crystal engine it's basically the same as the three previous Tomb Raider title where the game engine originally was used.

EDIT: Ah you just wanted the config utility. Smile

Okay question for you folks regarding this game.

Living in Italy, but pc is installed in English naturally.. Got this game working and runs fine in english... apart from when you like take cover and stuff and you get the prompt for pressing space bar to move between cover etc.. that appears in italian.. Can't figure out where on earth i can change it. Like i said, voice subtitles are all in english.

If you watch the tutorial videos they speak in english but the button prompts appear in italian. Wtf? where do i need to look to change this lol.

Is Steam in Italian or English? that usually localizes the game accordingly, if you don't use Steam I believe the registry info allows localization adjustments.
(Hopefully, otherwise it's down to changing the OS localization and such stuff which is cumbersome.)

EDIT: Seems it might be g_LanguageID there as a binary value, mine is set to 00 00 00 00
(Which is either English or auto-detect.)

Fullscreen as a binary value, change from 0 to 1
(That above about the registry.)

EDIT: Whoops, other way around of course.

yeah but no in-game option for it. i googled it and some people were having problems using the registry edit... ill give it a shot, see what happens.

i do like playing games fullscreen when i can, but im only getting about 40fps with everything maxed @ 2560x1600... and lowering the resolution but keeping it fullscreen makes it look like im playing it through a window Very Happy

You can fix that in your GPU's control panel. Set to GPU scaling and full-size.

wouldnt it just behave like a normal game then, and basically make it look ugly? thnx for the suggestion but id rather play through a window Very Happy

the registry edit isnt working for me, so i guess ill just suck it up @ 40 fps, or play around with the graphics settings to get a more playable framerate Very Happy

The difference between SSAO high and normal is very minor anyway. The performance loss is insane for the difference it brings. I had to do a screenshot comparison because I couldn't spot a difference otherwise.

Cheers for info. I noticed that registry entry as well and mine is also set to 00000000 like yours..
I am assuming that must be autodetect from your localisation in control panel or something.
i will prolly change that and see if it makes a difference.

unless people know the key change to make it fixed english.

just checked regional options and everything is already english. just my keyboard which is in english too but using italian layout so i guess it picks it from there, bit stupid really as never happened with other games.

Ok, I just beat Yelena. I was surprised to realize that she was even easier to kill than Barrett Confused Well I had already read from others that the boss fights aren't the best part of the game, so I guess I'll have to deal with it. That's 40 hours of gameplay now, and counting.

You can change the game language from inside Steam. Right-click the game name in your Library, choose "Properties" and find the Languages tab, you should have a drop-down menu with several languages in it. Remember to back up the original language file, I think Steam deletes it when it downloads a new one.
