+1
People are underestimating Boundle's capabilities! Besides, nfo contains typical Boundle grammar mistakes. |
I never got a chance to meet Boundle
He sounds like an interesting member. What happened to him and why hes banned?

Read this:
Quote: | Finished the game. I felt like the graphics are pretty bad for a lot of this game, feels rushed.
Also practically all the sub environments feel eerily alike.
Thankfully it's short enough where it doesn't get annoying but I have a feeling they couldn't hire any decent level designers. |

Spoiler: | Deus Ex..awesome! epic! incredible! bla bla bla.its none of those things.I liked the game at first because it has good graphics and nice music and seems very cool.and it is good optimized i played everything at max on dx 11 and game was smoothly as butter.but then it became too annoying and frustrating and i couldnt stand it anymore.so i delete it from my computer.it was too hard, you run out of ammo all the time and in the middle of a fight-theres never enough ammo, upgrades suck and are complicated, you have tons of useless upgrades and your in-game menu is huge and hard to learn. You must use stealth all the time-i never liked stealth games(i do like a little stealth from time to time but not the entire game and for me the fact that you cant use weapons and engage in a fight without the fear of dying is too frustrating).I like fast paced FPS like Crysis,Half-Life 2,COD,Doom 3,Quake 4,Prey-fun and simple with no headaches like finding your suitable upgrade(choosing from tons of upgrades) and using stealth all the time..sorry.thats not my idea of a cool game.Didnt like this one and i wouldnt reccomend it for anyone who wants a fun, simple and fast game. |

If I hadn't read that review, I might still have some faith in humanity. But it's all lost now.
Seriously though. I cannot say that stating one's opinion is forbidden. Everyone is allowed to have their own. If he likes 'run and gun' games, fine, good luck with him. Plenty of people don't like stealth games. Some just want to sit on the sofa, turn their brain off and play some games mindlessly and effortlessly.
Unforunately this kind of customers apparently overran this market leaving almost no place and no alternatives to others. And that's just fucking sad.
Plus this statement simply exceeds my cognitive abilities:
Quote: | the fact that you cant use weapons and engage in a fight without the fear of dying is too frustrating |
I mean.. WTF?

C'mon. This game has been out for a whole week now surely we can start sledging it. I think I'll kick off with:
At a certain level it is just another corridor shooter, albeit one that lets you have a few more choices than usual about how you kill the blokes in the next room to get the key to the door to another room full of blokes you need to kill.
Sure you don't have to kill the blokes. I'm about halfway thru n have only kilt one fella - Barret the fema level boss, and I hafta say it is starting to get to me - enuf to make me wanna kick the cat. All the repressed rage going on. ' '
I can never be assed reading all the comments here in these games with voluminous threads & consequently never know what has been said before. I assume the lack of a quick save has been discussed?
It really makes this game a pain if you play my style which is sneaking about pretty much unarmed apart from a dart gun and a EMP grenade for the bots.
The graphics are a bit so-so At least they aren't laggy or crashing but for me the textures are a yawn.
The really big problem for me this far into it is that I can't make myself care about how it all turns out. For the sake of the whiners I shall insert spoiler tags - please note my guesses about potential outcomes are just that guesses but as a human who has played more than one vid game I reckon that the potential outcomes are limited and therefore likely to include something along the lines of what I've guessed.
Spoiler: |
Maybe my boss is playing me this is all a wild goose chase, or even my old bonk. It may be she/her. Maybe the slapper is still sucking in oxygen & moving me around like a pawn on a global chessboard.
Perhaps my mods/enhancements include a thermo-nuclear device designed to trigger if I ever stray from the path |
whatever - my point is not so much about the probable ending, it is about the sad/frustrating fact that I don't feel sufficiently engaged with the game to give a flying fuck what the final scenario will entail.
The game feels like not much more than an exercise in stealthy hunting. A series of problems to be overcome. To be sure some of them are interesting. Sussing out the best result for the hacks can be interesting on a percentage of 'em. But these are exercises not an atmospheric tale that the player wants to invest emotion in.
I compare this game to Metro which lets face it was at its heart a corridor shooter with a few very limited choices and I have to say that game as ancient as it now is, did really get the player caring about what happens next.
For me that committment from the player is a 'must have' in any RPG. Shooters are shooters, exercises in killing others while staying alive. But an RPG where the player is given choices some tactical sure, but many are ethical choices. For that game to 'work' the player has to care about the outcome. Otherwise why even make a moral choice?
Mayeb I'll start caring in the 2nd half.
ATM it sure doesn't feel like that is going to happen.
