question:
if i want to go run and gun, can i progress in the game or i must be tactic or stealth to win missions?
played abit with the early build, but i left it fast casue i wanted to wait for the retail and i still not playing this cause i am waiting for proper release to come.

"Run and gun" wouldn't work, actually. It would work as a cover shooter.
Regardless, who runs and guns anyway? In real life that's impossible to pull off. This all sounds like asking in a PES thread "so can I play the ball with the hands??"

It is possible, and you can finish the main game with it I would say. Usually detection doesn't result in failure, only more enemies or harder ways to go.
But many side missions require you to be stealthy, so you wouldn't be able to finish those.

wow the game just fucked itself.
I changed some graphic options, now I get a launcher with settings, I tried to change a few and ran the game, then it crashed saying it cant run it (despite lowering settings) now all the options are blank in the launcher.
Fuck this ill wait for shitrow

choosing wrong options? fxaa is nvidia only btw.. incase ur on ati card..
that will fuck it up everytime..
ive played for a long time now and not had one crash other than myself causing one..

thanks, i like it when i can choose..i mean if i got tierd of hiding in the corner and want some action, it is good i can go rambo abit:)
what i didn't like when i played the early build is the hacking system..didn't understand it very well..i think the few times i actualy hacked into system , were just luck.
i must hack into systems to progress or hacking is more like bonus and secret elements? |

im on nvidia, i actully went from dx11 to dx9 and now it wont work, maybe the ali crack, i dont even know which is the correct 3dm one

I completed my first playthrough as a pacifist (didn't get the achievement though, probably pre-aug killings?). I noticed how easily you can advance through the latter stages if you upgrade all three cloak options (not as easy as in crysis 2 though). I've been playing my second run as a guns blazing dickhead, AI is rather stupid so no worries even on maximum difficulty. Just make sure you aim for headshots.
It feels like there isn't that much freedom regarding the plot, is there? Only style? I know there are couple different endings, but does anyone know if there really are any big choices you have to make during the first 75% of the game?
Still, I don't regret buying this, an absolute gem nowadays.

Hacking is great in many aspects: hidden stuff, bonus exp, unless you have the Explosive Mission Pack DLC you should invest in it, definitely.
Dude, learn how to hack and that's it!

What's the difference between the P2P ~6.2GB release and the "Black Box" release?

And hacking turrets & robots really makes life easier (and more fun). Hack some turret and carry it around, feel like robocop.

Yeah, and no timer bar to make the conversations more INTENSE and IMMERSIVE. I like that.
What I don't get is, why does only the first energy cell regenerate? Makes investing in more kinda pointless.

I have also something wierd i quited the game and then i have getting a Slow Performance message. And windows sees now only 4 gig of ram and i have 6 gig. Cpuz sees the fully 6 gig of ram. I don't know if its the game.

Okay I finally found a way to hack the computers in the police station lobby. You'll need the heavy item pickup aug for this. Basically you need to cut off your FOV from all those officers by creating a wall from the large vending machines. Keep in mind to save after setting up each machine as when they tilt I have no clue if they can be straightened or not. Just remember to crouch and then begin the hacking.
1 and 2 are still amazing.
