so, you can easily go through all the main storyline on Normal difficulty, right ? good, always like to play games at this difficulty.

It's not like you'll get to play it (unless you buy it). Devil Troll

It will be cracked soon or late, it's just a matter of time.
But how do you know I won't buy it ? Very Happy
...and BTW, there is a "Normal" difficulty in the options, right ? At least it was like that in the beta version. So, why is it a shame to use it... Scratch Head
yea we will probably get a p2p crack from that chinese guy or wherever hes from who does some of the other games before the release groups manage it.

there already seems to be an uncracked clone image floating around

Never playing it again.

well for some silly reason I cracked b4 the game got cracked n bought the thing. 90 minutes since I inserted disk and the thing is still not installed. Steam seems to be the primary problem thus far.
I had to argue with it for 35 minutes b4 we found a account name we both agreed on. After that another 20 minutes waiting while de pos promised me it was 'creating my steam account'

Then I wrenched the disk out & started again - raced through the next bit downloading steam files or whatever (I spose none of my favourite steam games will work any more)
Then I was instructed to 'enter the registration code'. Interesting cause there are 3 totally different serial codes that came with the game.
What is that about? Apologies if alla u northerners discussed this last week or whenever it was the jackboots were lifted offa your necks sufficiently to be permitted to buy this game, but what is with three (3) codes?
1/steam registration code
2/square enix product registration
3/"explosive mission pack" registration code. The "explosive mission pack" contents sound as dramatic & surprising as a fart at a celebration for 'the day after the night before'.

Why ? I betcha the square enix deus ex service desk is flat out like a lizard drinking explaining what code goes where to all the usual derps. A liitle co-ordination & 1 code coulda done all this & more.

I was lulled into a feeling of game publisher competence by the relatively pain free Witcher 2 legit distribution. Now I've been re-educated. No more buyin of games even really clunky cracks are easier than this intrusive garbage.

Does stuff disappear if you leave and come back?

In new vegas i had running stashes of stuff in mailboxes if i remember correctly.

Sorry I doubt I'm helping, just bored and trying to play by proxy.

Oh and... Detroit? It's still there a decade from now? Surprise.

I followed PumpActions choice and bought the steam key for €17.50 and am having the sellers activate it (using a temporary password).

So what about technical issues? Does anyone of you have any problems. I've got 3 that are really annoying:

1. There seems to be like a 50% chance that the game won't progress past certain cutscenes - I have to manually kill the process and replay from a save.

2. The loading times are 40 sec - 2 minutes. This does add a certain challenge to the stealth since I don't really want to load the game but it's still annoying. I love to try different approaches and the loading times piss me off.

3. I get occasional shadow/lighting flickering in certain scenes - namely the Sarif building. If I was epileptic I'd be biting my tongue by now.

Cutscenes and subtitles sometimes go out of sync - I don't really care about this and just turned them off but still.

I got a slightly OCed Q6600 4 GB of RAM and a 8800GTX. It's not that great but the thing is the leak ran fine - with no flickering, no crashes, good framerates with very rare dips. Makes me sad Sad

Experienced black cutscrenes and having to kill the game twice.
Noticed some random hat liked to flicker white.
3-4 random CTDs.

Also failed to get the foxiest of the hounds achievement...I swear to god I never set any alarms off. Sigh not fucking worth trying that one again.

I'm having zero technical issues so far (playing first mission after the intro/credits).

I do have a question about gameplay options. What does the "Automatic Inventory Management" option do? It comes enabled even in "Give me Deus Ex" difficulty. Any ideas what it does?

Just auto "optimizes" your inventory space. . .
