I don't care what you disagree with. I buy the games I like, thank you very much, so I have every right to make statements like this - especially when listening to people piss and moan about crappy PC ports, only to run and pirate anything that's good anyhow. Dezztroy is absolutely correct, the people arguing against it? Heh... whatever helps you sleep at night. |
I have no problem with pirating as long as people admit they're stealing and recognize the harm they're doing to legitimate pc devs.
Games like Bastion, Trine, Minecraft, and such, cheap and well made with plenty of value for your €, are freaking amazing and most of the time without intrusive DRM... but still... people pirate them to no end.
As you, i buy the games i truly love, but i do admit that by pirating i do more harm than the good i do buy buying some pc games.

And what's wrong with ME2? It was a shootery-RPG with proper dialog, choices, and a relatively well-written story. Like with DA2, people judged the game based on the hype and had too great expectations - both games were decent and fun.
Edit: about pirating, I'll be pirating this game, just like every game I don't need to buy for multiplayer. This is a pirate board, so I assume most of the readers do this, even though they won't admit it. The harm done (one sale) is very minor compared to the total number of sales, and whether I personally pirate it or not will not have an effect on other people buying the game. If everyone did it, we'd be screwed, but that's not the case here. It's like with elections, one vote almost certainly won't matter, so why waste the time?

likewise for anyone who opts not to buy it. who gives a fuck. good game is good, so just enjoy it without insulting others because they dont do the same that you do.
should be about the games, nothing more... and sure as fuck shouldnt be about TELLING others to pay otherwise they arent real gamers. fuck that.

You don't need to restart Steam. Simply login to Steam, then login to the VPN. Steam should hang for a few seconds, and then you're free to decrypt your game. |
Doesn't work, maybe it's my router or something. Ah well, no matter.

INSTRUCTIONS:
1. Decompress
2. Copy the files (dxhr.exe and dxhr5_win7.exe) to the game folder
3. Overwrite when prompted (be smart and backup the original files!!)
4. PLAY THE GAME:
XP = dxhr.exe
W7 = dxhr5_win7.exe

WHAT IF someone (well, like me) won't buy Deus Ex HR even if it is excellent and will DL as quick as possible, BUT will pay for AoE Online and is already paying for indie games ? what do you say about that ?

I have to chuckle at this. I agree but there has never been a thread in these forums without the populace slamming each other over trivial matters such as this is.
Some just want to appear more superior than others.
As to pirating this game, it seems a lot of you have bought the game, what happens when you don't like it or it is a one time play, how do you know ahead of time if you don't pirate it?
