by the way... everyone is raving about ps3...
I think the only reason there hasn't been such a hubbub about the xbox is because asides from that madden vid, they've kept it on the down low... I'm sure when footage of xbox games come out, there will be another uproar...

there are already a couple of vids out, you can get em from gametrailers.com,
gears of war looks very good, but killzone 2 and motor storm easily overshadow it (given it was real time scenes in both games).

At least we know that the trailers for Xbox360 games are real time, as you can actually see the gameplay mechanic in alot of the vids.

From what I've seen so far Sony is the most impressive hands down, Killing Zone looks scary if its in real time, Sony says it is, but heh Hype knows no bounds at E3.
Xbox 360 looks like a flop to me, not enough to get excited about, me being an Xbox owner. Sony might be right in saying Xbox 1.5
Right now Sony is the most impressive at E3 so far, I think making Microsoft look a little silly. Weather its all hype or not Sony is doing a good job in coverting me so far.
And well Nintendo hmmm, I think there marketing to much for Japan, god knows why they think it will work in North America.

The difference in release dates is all the advantage Microsoft needs at the moment.

Yes but not a single game of those looked really next-gen except gears of war.
They did look good, no questions about that, but not really something that hasn't or cant be done on todays pc's.
And it's also proven with gears of war that the system can handle incredible graphics, so I'm totally amazed that they couldn't show a single game that looked better on a system that is out in 6 damn months! 
And perfect dark must have been a joke, talk about a shit first impression of that game :/
Microsoft need to have some secret games to show at the E3, that look badass and run good, otherwise they will loose alot to sony and that would suck. The more systems that succeed the better it is for us so GO microsoft 
Edit: I dont agree with the release date going for them. If they dont have awesome games to show, why would peple care? I mean they look at some of these games now and think "wth, this isn't that much better than my current xbox, maybe I shuld wait and see what the ps3 offers". I can really see this happen.

I have a feeling that the PS3 will cost a lot more then the XBOX360.
That's why I'm gonna stick with the 360.

It was speculations, cheez it. It is best to wait to see in game footage to be sure. The PS3 is 8-12 months from now with a Spring 2006 release.

No, it wasn't real time, just like the one for Motor Storm... actually most of Sony's video feeds were FMVs.
As usual, Sony's strategy is to impress people, with their upcoming console, in order to hold them back from buying the Xbox360 and wait to buy a PS3, just like they did with the PS2 against Sega's Dreamcast.
Anyway, so far I ain't really impressed with any of those games for Xbox360 or PS3.
E3 is just all about bunch of hype.

from Epic -
Epic's Mark Rein dropped by our forums to clear up all the hoohah regarding the Playstation 3 footage from yesterday's unveiling:
In addition to the Sony demos being shown by Phil Harrison, the Epic and EA presentations were the only third party portions actually running on the PS3 in real-time
well there you go.....
although he did point out that "we'll certainly be able to achieve much more on the final box than we were able to show in our demo after working with the early dev kit for only ~2 months "

that still doesnt mean the footage of the other games wasnt real time,
what he said was that only unreal and fight night were shown in real time, as opposed to prerecorded trailers in case of the other games,
its pretty clear that he actually just means this cuz some of the games shown prerecorded had obvious gameplay portions.

Just read on GameSpot.com that the Xbox360 is rumoured to retail for only $299, and the PlayStation3 for $499. $499 is a fair price for a brand new console, and $299 is downright cheap  The games will be more expensive probably, to compensate for the lower console prices, $75 perhaps.....

Rofl_Mao: I doubt that xbox games will be more expensive.. Microsoft will earn money on other stuff than games. Xbox Live GOLD. advertising in spectator mode and so on.
