Fortunately it's "only" profile ban / suspension till 9999, not console ban.

I must admit I don't really know how XBL works. My main profile has never accessed XBL, it's not even live-enabled, it's just an offilne profile. I used to log into the non-jtag fake profile, then logout and log into my normal offline one. So what would happen if I tried to do the non-jtag trick again? (I've seen there's a method to do the trick even on the new dashboards, but haven't had a chance to try yet).

Honestly, i dont know. The last time i used non-jtag arcade game was back in ~february, but i was stupid enough to log into my main account from the fake profile. So if they ban me, thats because my own stupidity..
PS. I lol'd today when i logged into my acc. on my console and watched my banned friend's profile. They deleted the message from his avatar's speech bubble, now there's only one line that says: "Code of Conduct". O_o

Hey Guys, I am finally getting my hands on a couple of Jtagged Xboxes. Not sure how they work fully yet. I take it i just put the dvds into the xbox and install the games to hdd and it will then be able to be played fully from the hdd without need of a disc or am i meant to somehow get the games onto the hdd via a different method? Also As these are Jtagged Xboxes they are considerably older than the current Xboxes and hence more prone to RROD. IS there any preventative measures i can take? I was considering getting some intercoolers but i hear bad things about them. I do already have the vertical fan stands that blow air from underneath the xbox.
Also with Jtag does the software need to be upgraded every now and then? How does the software on that work? I know my currently flashed xboxes need firmware flashes every year or so to the latest mods as some of the new games always require it. But with Jtag is it totally different and hence dont require software updates?

If you have the key already is quite easy, just follow the tutorial that comes with JF. If you don't, it's quite a pain in the ass, you need to cut & resolder tracks on the drive board and fuck around with switches... if you don't have some experience with that stuff it's better if you ask someone else to do it for you.

I don't use any tools and it's quite easy. The hardest part is actually opening the x360, but there are instructional videos on youtube on how to do that. Once it's opened, you just need to disconnect the dvd drive sata cable (leave the power one attached) and pull out the drive so you have it in easy reach. Connect the drive to one of you computers sata ports, turn on the x360 (make sure you have the video cable attached, or it will shutdown after few minutes) then power on your pc. If you're on a 64bit windows you must start the pc with driver signature enforcement disabled. Then fire up JF and just follow the tutorial.

Hi,
I just "cleaned the dust off" my xbox 360, after a long while at my brothers house, mainly to play deus ex human revolution, until its released on the pc.
As i am only able to have one console connected to the tv, i stored my ps3 for the time being, the problem is i used it mainly as a media centre, to watch my downloaded series and films.
The xbox 360 appears to have the same capacity to play downloaded content, but it asks to download an update to play them.
My question is: Is it safe to update through xbox live? I´m afraid of loosing the ability to play backups on the console, or even worst... brick it.

Sorry to say; but if you update via Live you will lose the ability to play backups. The new Live updates (from May 2011) flash your DVD drive with a new FW that is capable of using XGD3. Once that's done, you'll have to reflash to a new version of LT.

Let me reask my question.
What does the ban resoult in nowadays? I am never playing xbl and I am connected only once or twice a year to download a demo or new update. NEVER played any game online.
Thats becouse I might want to upgrade from 1.0 to 1.91 but in order to do that I mus first visit xbl and let my xbox upgrade and reflash to stock
onew more: Is it better to upload to stock before updating?

If they are flashed you can run and copy burnt media. If its not flashed either ftp or external USB drive and copy over your games (They need to be extracted first). You need either XEX menu or (What i use) freestyle dash installed with dash launch.
To Make your jtag last, you have 3 options. 12V fan mod, Edit your freeboot image to speed up fans or use freestyle to speed up your fans. On one of my jtags i used the 12V fan mod, very loud but over 20C cooler. On my other jtag i use freestyle dash built in fan controller, run @80%. Same temp drop as the 12V mod, but quiter. Intercoolers are garbage, but i have heard good things about whisper fans, there a complete fan replacement, but i would still run them at a higher speed.
You dont need to update the dash very often, just make sure when you rip or copy games that you remove the systemupdate folder. I can run everything fine still with 12625 Dash. NEVER update through XBL. My boxes i presently make for people have XBL disabled before i ship them with the pass 1234 if they want to get them selves banned.

Yeah I was thinking of getting the Whisper fans or getting the 12v mod done. I didnt realise that the drive still needs to be flashed. Currently I have 2 xboxes that are flashed hence most of the games i have are burnt media. I guess that means they wont work on the new JTag xboxes. So I am not sure how to extract the files or get the games from the discs onto a hdd? The normal PC wont read them either once they are burnt right? My only other option is to maybe use my Kreon drive on a pc? If a lot of games i have are in ISO format, do i still need to extract them somehow? I wasnt going to have my Jtag Xboxes hooked up to the network as i was worried about the XBL. I have noticed that my account seems to automatically connect to XBL, it sounds like there is a way of stopping that but not a way in the menu?
That was the other part i was worried about, how some games ship with updates on them and try to install the update at the very beginning. So i need to extract them and remove the updates from them. Sounds a bit complicated

Very easy. Search for isoextract. Its a 360 image tool that will extract the iso, remove the update and ftp it to your 360. Also its easy to flash a jtag dvd drive because you have your cpu key, and your nand. Use freeboot maker and load up your nand, enter your cpu key, and it will give you your drive key.
I recommend using freestyle dash, it makes jtaging easy. You can set your fan speeds, and have auto cover, screens and info downloading for your backed up games. Cover flow menus are nice to.
On MS dashboard, go to security or family settings, its on your main blade, second last to the right. You can block XBL there. Also Dash Launch has XBL blocking. I have all my jtags hooked to the network so my games lists look nice with backgrounds and covers.

The guy said he put on the latest dash available which is 13599. Not sure what that means, so i take it it doesnt have any extra software on it? So it sounds like i have to put on extra software to make it play games off hdds and extract etc. Is there a website that would be good to read up on all this stuff or even have tutorials etc?
that freestyle dash sounds good, thats what i would like with all the game info etc being displayed.

you need to reburn them with the correct ap2.5 replay sectors, check the isos with abgx it should patch them for you.

thats only if your discs are allready patched with the current ap2.5 patches, 1.91 is just a fix to make the discs that work on 1.9 work since they changed something in the new dash update that stopped ap2.5 games booting that should still have worked.

let me say repeat. Ive had first lt+ from year ago and yesterday flashed 1.91 onto it(Ive flashed stock before dash update).
Ive burned not working games before ltplus came out year ago and they were working there. Black screen on lt+1.0
error on 1.91.
I dont have a verb (esperanza actually:lol:) to reburn them but maybe some later

I moved my 250gb xbox hdd over from my old xbox to one of the Jtag xboxes and it comes up with most of the profiles, but oddly enough not the main profiles or the ones that get used the most. Whats up with that? What can i do?
I should mention, the main profile has been used on xbox live for about a month or so and i did get banned as my xbox was flashed. Does that have anything to do with me not being able to see it at all on this xbox?
I should also ask if i was to put my hdd back into the original Xbox i was using (my hdd now has all the jtag files etc), does that mean the original xbox will try to do something to my hdd / jtag files and then it wont work on my Jtagged console? Or would it just leave it alone?
