I wonder how much the PS3 will cost. That will play a factor at the time too when Halo is released the XBox will have gone down in price, or at the very least there will be many packages that make it's purchase more comfortable.
It's just a little damage control.
Although I'm looking forward to the PS3, and have technically made my mind up unless Nintendo can change it, the price is going to have to be reasonable.

well sony is supposed to be selling the ps3 at own loss in the beginning and will prolly make up for it with games, so i guess the price will be reasonable enough.

Well if you didn't enjoy halo 2 (although millions did) I doubt you will enjoy the third one. Although i'm sure it will be better in every way.

Well I doubt they're aiming for PC fanboys with it's release anyway.

I can't say I expect to get an unbiased opinion in a forum like this. But Halo 2 is definitely not crap. Sure, you may not like it, but purely from a technical standpoint it isn't crap.
I bet the majority who say it's crap have either never played it, or haven't played for longer then 5 minutes.

Yes, but the fact that millions of people like it argues against that's it's crap, as opposed to a game that completely flopped.
Halo 2 by no means flopped. It was a succesful title. You have to learn that your opinion isn't worth the heap of gold you think it is. |

yeah, halo2 is not crap.
I dont like halo2 at all, I think it's one of the most booring games created this generation, but do I think it's crap? No, not even close..it's a masterpiece that I just dont happen to enjoy playing.

I beat it on Legendary, and from a technical standpoint what makes it any better then all the other games out there? Splinter Cell CT was a much better game then Halo 2, and from a technical standpoint, Halo 2 can't even swing on CT's jock! I had more fun with Killzone then Halo 2, and GTA with its awful draw in and cheesey graphics was much more fun also. Halo 2 had the blurry graphic effects going on, tearing in the cut scenes, and some awful clipping!
Also, the MP maps are small, and they have tons of exploits that Bungie just laughs about. So again, what makes this game so damn great??
Halo 2 is just a vanilla FPS that came out on a console system. The only reason people rave about it is because it was the first good FPS that you could play on your TV. I enjoyed the first Halo, but 2 just seems unfinished and rushed to me. |

You know more than one game can be a success. Just because one game is a success (in your example Splinter Cell) doesn't mean every other game in history is a failure.
Both were successes.

It was a success because of the hype generated by Microsofts marketing team, and the success of the first Halo. Alot of people liked the game, but alot of people were also disapointed. I never said the game was a failure, I said it was crap. At least I can take the time to play though a game and make a decision, when most would give it 5 minutes.
As for mymotherlovesanimals, you need to STFU you twit!! 3262 posts of complete bullshit doesn't make your opinion right, it just shows you have no life.

Not true, I formed my crap opinion after finishing the game. A friend of mine is the total Halo fanboy. He beat it 3 times until the crap opinion finally overcame him. He went out and bought the first one again and he has beaten that one probably 20 times. I also played it on legendary to start because I wanted to get the most bang for my buck, seeing how short the first one was. I am done with this argurment.

If a game is that crap, you realise after playing it for half hour, not 10. Talk about slow in the head.

Wow, this discussion is even more crap than the game. But seriously, the game is not crap...... but when you compare it to halo1 and all the high expections that were created it was the biggest dissapointment in years (for me and also for a lot of other people). I've played halo1 so many times, I beat the sp maybe for 7 times. I finished halo2 one time, the first 3 levels on Legandary, the next 2 levels on normal and the lanst ones on easy. The levels were geting so freaking boring I thought I was dreaming. I couldnt believe this was the 'great halo2'.
And to say 'if you dont like halo2 you wont like halo3 also is bullshit' (they already proved with h1 they can do it). Its the same as 'if you liked halo1 you will like halo2 even more'.

There are not the types of levels you see in halo1 like the beach level, the snow level or the second level. The outdoor levels are very tight and they are very rare + the gameplay is a little bit messy with all the new governants and the flood (and the flood are sucking even more in h2) I dont like the story that much but thats not my main point. Same for the new Governant weapons who are nearly all the same, lesser graphics and the sucky end.

yeah, now when you mention it, the outdoor levels are pretty tight most of the time.
but overall i think halo 1 was much more repetetive. sure halo2 had some too, but it was disguised in a better way.

a game which has slightly more going on than the prequel which was released a few years before, isnt really better.
everything that was already there in the prequel should be set as point zero,
and from that point on the game should be judged, whether it is better or not.
