Did adding "Paths=..\HDTP\System\*.u " work? Are you getting any error codes? Also, which exe are you using (HDTP or Kentie's modified)?

Alright, everything is installed and seems to be working. There is, however, a small problem. Namely, whenever there is a line of dialogue in the game, whether it's in the intro or tutorial, the characters simply don't end their lines, the game cuts the dialogue lines off just before the ending so the last sentence or half a sentence cannot be heard.

Open your DeusEx.ini and go to Galaxy.GalaxyAudioSubSystem. Find the LATENCY value and change it from 40 to 60. Save, reload the game, let me know if that works.

Doesn't work, the dialogue is cut off at the exact same place.

There are people saying it's caused by vsync... but the more obvious culprit is dual/quad core processors. You're using New Vision, right? So install Kentie's new renderer and loader (the renderer should be essential, since NV requires it, but the loader is optional)
http://kentie.net/article/dxguide/index.htm
http://kentie.net/article/d3d10drv/
Just extract the files into DX folder. Then use the new EXE (backup the old one first) and set your options. D3D10 renderer and the new exe automatically locks the game into singlecore mode.

Aren't you using d3d10drv-v20.zip Sabin? It's supposed to make the game look better on DX10 cards. Does it have problems?

I'm using version 27 which is the latest and no problems here so far =) Just don't forget to set anisotropic filtering, as it's disabled by default (at least it was on mine)

By the way, if you're using the new EXE loader, then the CORRECT ini file to edit is not actually in DeusEX\System ... it's in your DOCUMENTS FOLDER.

Any tips before I play? Gameplay tips I mean. This'll be the last time I play it, so I want to enjoy it fully.

I'm having probs with the GUI. I'm using Kentie's loader (non-GUI scaling) and the mod mentioned above. Below is how it looks, the GUI is is too big for the screen. SOund is also weird at times, it's bad. Sometimes when I start the game it's normal, sometimes it's strange.

edit: setting latency to 60 fixed teh sound.

If you are using the mod that fixes UI and stuff with HDTP you have to replace the DeusEx.u instance ni HDTP/system.

New Vision is pretty damn good. Making a game that looked average a decade ago playable/enjoyable now is impressive.
