Let me guess... TURK = Grey's Anatomy fanboy. And yeah, the Hank/Walt scene was fantastic. Probably one of the most well constructed hour-longs I've seen in a long time.

Maybe not as good as previous seasons, so far, but it's still a really solid show.

Actually had to look that up, why you think I like some hospital drama show. Razz

If this is amazing, I dunno what we should call shows like the wire, deadwood, boardwalk empire etc. Superdeluxe-Amazing?

But whatever, show is getting better, I like the Walter too much to drop this show.

Dunno, The Wire was good, but I didn't find it nearly as compelling as Breaking Bad. Boredwalk Empire is, imho, a flaming POS.

I've seen Deadwood and The Wire and while I can't say the writing was bad --- imho they weren't NEARLY as compelling as Breaking Bad. Well acted but I never really felt like I had to watch the next episode right away like Breaking Bad. And Boredwalk Empire? Wow, and people say Breaking Bad is slow. Boredwalk Empire had less plot development in 12 episodes than 1 episode of Breaking Bad. The only HBO series that has anything on Breaking Bad would be HBO's actual magnum opus, Game of Thrones.

The show's ok, I've only seen the three eps, but it really fails compared to the first two seasons. Where's the humor? Where's Walt going psycho? Where are the weird situations Walt and Jesse get into? Enough already with teh Skyler shit, kill that bitch.

Yeah the dark humor / situations are really lacking in this season so far. I'd like to give a Facepalm pic to Ashok0 in response, but i'll fight the urge..

The problem is (for me) that the show is going nowhere, it's twirling in circles. I'm fine with building up characters, but they add zilch now. What exactly was the purpose of the third ep? Not a single thing was new.

There's still much to like, but a little too much to dislike (usually NOT a problem with this show). At least i'm glad that emo shit with Jesse is over now, that dragged on for a bit too long. I'm not too interested in Marie and her little thieving adventures, really boring crap. The money laundry thing has dragged on since last season, utterly boring. It's like the writer is clueless of what to do.

Could be the cutbacks that AMC decided to do to their most viewed shows (Breaking Bad, Walking Dead & Mad Men) that is showing. Maybe they've fired someone here too, like they did for Walking Dead?

they're developing a scenario.

seriously. back in other seasons it took 2 -3 eps to get a thing going.
now it takes a while and y'all acting like a bunch of spoiled brats.
it's still a good show. and something is clearly going to happen that will affect everyone.

They were making such a big deal about how they were going to kill a main character and then they kill the mute mexican (his replacement looks super gay). I was hoping Skyler would die die die, i still do.

For all of the explanations being thrown out to justify Gus' decisions this ep, the fact remains that he could have killed Jesse a long time ago and used Walt's family against him (to ensure he continued cooking). That's been bothering me for awhile, actually. It seems so obvious and is a weakness in the show, imo. And no, vague ideas that Gus "respects family bonds" or whateva don't wash. Gus is clearly a character who will do ANYTHING. If this show were IRL, Walt would have no power at all in his relationship with Gus. Walt has a family, he has something he cares about, and that is Gus' trump card.

As for Jesse taking over the cooking, uhh...no. That character is really, really dumb. No way in hell could he ever take over. That's another thing that sort of bothers me about the show - Jesse's total idiocy. I don't buy that someone that stupid would have lasted this long without either getting out or dying.

you can't judge a season with watching only the first 3. the latest episodes 4 and 5 are much more entertaining.
