Hmm, but can't this happen with any unfinished game you preorder? Say you preorder a game based on the information available about it, but some of that information might change before it gets finally released a few months later.
Personally I've never preordered an unreleased game in my life, it always seemed like a safe bet to wait until release.

Yeah dude the same shit happened to me the other day. I was gonna buy a new lawnmower. I went to the shop right and they told me gasoline isn't included in the price. I said well if that's the case you should give me a substantial rebate on the sale. They disagreed with me. I told them to fuck off and said they lost me with that. There's a lot of other better lawnmowers out there anyway. Who the fuck do they think they are anyway? |
U re totally off here, bad analogy.
If they advertise that their mover works on solar power and u buy it and then after that they say it has to have gas to work. Thats false advertising. Swindlers.
This is the right analogy.

U probably can but if they had u re money for a month they already got the interest from it and u lost money by that because it was on their account not yours. Its probebly not a lot but if they have 100 000 people that payed pre-order thats a lot of money they already earned without giving u anything.

Lame... instead of a singleplayer button we need to "access our account" and wow even if it is a beta that menu screen is shitty. Someone tell Blizzard this is 2011 not 2000. Oh wait, the game still doesn't have a release date does it.

Guys? That's not the menu screen. It's the login screen. Once logged in you're taken to a different interface. That's exactly how it worked for SC2 (except for the part where you could log-in as a guest to play offline) and we've already seen screens of the real menu for D3 earlier in this thread.
WoW's login screen is also exactly the same.
(Which does mean it would be really easy to fake a similar one for D3 and pass it off as real.)

Despite all the bitching and the "cancelling" of preorders, the majority of people will buy it anyway, they'll just make up excuses and say "well I won't be using real money at the store like the kids" or "I have already bought the previous games, I need this to complete my collection" or the ever popular "A friend gave it to me" or "I didn't pay anything for it cause I got it with a voucher"
Most are hypocrites like that.
