Armageddon is VERY GOOD. I hated guerilla. But this one is more like first one. LINEAR which is good compared to boring guerilla.
And destruction in this one is awesome.
But Ive played in on 360. PC performance is IMPOSSIBLE

DLC can be downloaded from Russian underground forum but it's useless without a new cracked exe.
Anyway I played the first chapter of DLC and it was pretty much boring, I hope it gets better later.

Linear is obsolete.Sandbox is where its at.

Enable DLC?
Open Red Faction Armageddon.exe or Red Faction Armageddon DX11.exe,
Search bytes:
48 D7 00 00 49 D7 00 00 4A D7 00 00 4B D7 00 00 4D D7 00 00
Change to:
46 D7 00 00 46 D7 00 00 46 D7 00 00 46 D7 00 00 46 D7 00 00
And it will enable all DLC. This is assuming you own RFA already on Steam. Can't help you with a pirate copy.

You don't need the patch - game had zero issues when I played it. Plus, the DLC is pathetic.

Started playing it - previously I had only played the onlive demo.
Decent game actually, it's fun so far. I also dig the fact it's TPS but NOT a cover shooter.

Red Faction Guerilla was great, I played it only recently and was really surprised by it! Loved the sandbox playing style with loads of buildings to destroy, with a lengthy single player campaign that never got boring to me.
But Armageddon is quite boring, and also disappointing that they went back to the linear levels.
They should have fixed the consolitis problems that Guerilla had with a new storyline, that would have resulted in an epic game.

I forgot this aswell... Downloaded this today, played couple hours and im liking it. Very nice destruction (feels better than in guerrilla) also it has pretty nice graphics at times. Yeah it is linear like hell, but its still pretty nice time waster.
Also seems that volition has done some optimization for their physics engine, never goes below 60fps even when there is shitloads stuff collapsing etc..

keep playing, i loved the game and when you will get the magnet gun, the real fun will begin;)
it is linear and repeatitive, but i enejoy every kill with the magnet gun and it hooked me till the end. also guerrilla and armagedon are unique with all the distruction and for the explotion/distruction lovers, this games are must. |
