Call me lazy, but I only like to play games through once. Until a game can give me at least 70% new content on a second play through I feel like I am just wasting time. I am not one of these sad losers that spends every hour of their life getting 1000 achievement points or whatever on every game.
As every patch adds new content, it puts me off actually playing the game until they stop so I can experience it all at once.

So do I, but this particular game happens to contain nearly two different games in one (quite uncommon in my experience as I'm not a rpg fan). Makes it worth the replay or worst-case scenario, loading the savegame just before the paths diverge and start from there.
As for the completionist stuff, I don't care about getting 100% quests/achivements either I just keep doing side quests until it's not fun any longer.

What is disappointing you? There's nothing "consolitist" as you say in this game. Story is awesome and complex, combats too (get better after a few upgrades).

I have to say that I think TW1 is better than TW2. You can see that it has been designed with consoles in mind right from the menu. I'm not saying it is a bad game, only that I felt TW1 was more of a traditional RPG and I liked it more. I also liked the top down camera angle more than the 3rd person.

I won't comment on the RPG aspects cause it's not my field of knowledge, but I can say that I liked the original Witcher more than the sequel but not by much. I would have preferred the combat system of Witcher 2 in the original because it felt more free and less automatic.

Hmm? This is the witcher 2 thread, in witcher 2 you get to kill harpies, trolls, wraiths and even a dragon. If you find killing civilians more exciting you're in the wrong forum !

Huh?? No I do not, I only said that he blamed someone derp and apparently don't watch any news himself. I don't know how I got myself misunderstood. Anyone supporting Breivik should get their heads examined.

back on topic, how and when become silver swords avaiable again? metal: silver is missing in my inventory and there is none to be found...
EDIT: Nevermind. the dwarf sells the silver ore.
