DESCRiPTiON
Ever wonder how things might be different, if you could go back in time and re-live your past? The main character of Shira Oka: Second Chances is given that chance to find out.
Will he get his act together, and become the person he always wanted to be? Will he pass all his classes with flying colors? Will he fall in love with the girl of his dreams? Or will he end up sad and lonely once again?
His fate is in your hands.
You control how he spends his time, who he becomes friends with, and who he falls in love with... if anyone. A chance to go back in time and change things from when he began high school, and change his life for the better in the present. But no matter what choices you make, get ready for a roleplaying experience unlike any other.

Okay so I never play such games but this one is actually worth trying. Its a game which encourages failure and you actually gain experience from your past mistakes. Playing repeat events leads to new dialogue and situations which really adds to the replayability. Doing certain stuff every time grants you XP which has to be used wisely to upgrade stats. Oh and the game has 10 endings (1 for each character)

The Postmortem version is 1.1.4 and THETA is 1.1.5 but the current one is 1.1.6. Searched around for it but can't find the latest update.
Edit: CURRENT VERSION IS OUT! Thanks to rip for the heads up!
It is a dating sim, if you know what those are. Manage your schedule by choosing what activities to do and which characters to hang out with, who to pork etc etc etc...
Depending on your choices you build relationships with the other characters and such.
I'm usually willing to try these anime games out, even some VNs, but not really my cup of tea. Can't really say if its good or not because I haven't really played anything similar to compare it to, I just didn't really find it that much fun.
I'm actually enjoying this game quite a bit.
It's quite challenging to balance all those stats and it actually feels like a game, in contrast to many visual novel style games that are more like books/comics than games.
I also like the fact that the characters gets sent back in time and remembers stuff.. leads to some funny situations where you know people's names or their phone numbers and shit before ever even meeting them so you gotta be careful what you say.
Only thing I don't like is that the interface is cumbersome for some tasks. Like scheduling a day out.. you gotta go through weird menus.. why not just let me right-click on a date on the calendar and set it quickly? I gotta go through a weird dialogue and it takes way too long just to set up 1 action.
Can anyone recommend other games like this? And I mean similar to this as in.. more game less visual novel.
