STILL looks outstanding and I'm STILL psyched for this. I've been psyched since the start, though my hype levels drop every so often due to the insane wait between announcement and release :\ I'm really looking forward to this, the whole game just seems to ooze atmosphere and attention to detail (yes, yes... it doesn't have 4096x4096 textures... deal with it )
I mean, check out 1:41 on that trailer. You shoot the guy in the arm and he clutches his arm in pain! That's a damned nice touch.
^ I think there's only one more to come out. And, indeed, I'm getting more and more hyped with each video released. One of the most prominent things that strikes me as especially nice is the level design that really twines really well with the overall setting. Only a little over two months to go.
But we make exactly the same content for all three platforms. Being able to leverage what we do with the technology to be able to run on all three platforms, it's under the hood - people don't see it but it has to be done.

All pieces of hardware don't work the same across all three platforms so, of course, we have to do some programming to make it work as well as well on the PS3 and 360 and PC across the board. But our goal is to make each experience from the different platforms exactly the same.
Hmm.... I'm not sure on that one. SoF had a multitude of damage zones on each character, but physical reaction and awareness to being shot? No, it didn't have that.
No. If you blew their LEG OFF they'd scream in pain before dying.
Oh look. Blow his leg off, he screams and jumps around, but doesn't respond or react to anything else - even multiple shotgun blasts - because he's in "canned animated death" mode.
Sabin: how bout the guy at around 3:10 in the corner of the bathroom who gets Glocked. Notice he's jumping around.. thats not a death animation from what I remember... and notice his animations when getting shot afterwards, he twists to the left or right depending on where you hit him.
I do want to play SoF too but I remember trying it months ago and having no success getting it to work on Win7
I see what you mean, partially, but then look at 3:14 - that emphasises my point. They're ALL canned death animations. I don't see that as dynamic reactions, just "you hit arm > arm gibbed > enemy pawn scream > enemy pawn die"
I'm saying they're not ALL death animations. Ex. Shoot someone in the arm in SoF and they'd twist to that side, similar to Rage. I agree with you that it's a nice touch and i haven't really seen it in a lot of games in the last decade to be honest.
If you dont believe me try it out..if you say it doesn't work that way I'll believe you.. and envy you for getting it to work on your system
TWIN PEAKS is "something of a miracle."
"...like nothing else on television."
"a phenomenon."
"A tangled tale of sex, violence, power, junk food..."
"Like Nothing On Earth"
