Bah...its stressful to hack it! I have to press next on my pc and like 1/10th of a second laters I need to press and hold the powerbutton...and then the meny button etc etc Razz

I think ill wait until my gf is home before I try this...since the timer is going while trying to hack it! lol

This is not nuclear physics, accuracy is not really necessary. Smile Just click next, then hold the power button for some seconds, then power + home for some seconds, then only home for some seconds. It will catch it and start JB.

- iPad1: 4.3 through 4.3.3
- iPad2: 4.3.3
- iPhoneGS: 4.3 through 4.3.3
- iPhone4: 4.3 through 4.3.3
- iPhone4-CDMA: 4.2.6 through 4.2.8
- iPod touch 3g: 4.3, 4.3.2, 4.3.3
- iPod touch 4g: 4.3 through 4.3.


I installed it on iPad2 4.3 though so above isn't 100% correct!

Just update to 4.3.3

The list you presented says "iPod Touch 3G - 4.3, 4.3.2, 4.3.3" So every version of 4.3.x is support EXCEPT 4.3.1? That's just plain odd! grinhurt

sigh,starting regretting buying only 32GB for my iPAD 2 ,is there a good way to connect external HDD?(I've heard you can do it by the Camera Kit) I hate that you can't upgrade on Apples Devices,ho wel. Rolling Eyes

XBMC on iPad 1 could play 1080p videos no problem. So iPad2 with 1080p output... Hmmm!
Haven't seen an Android tablet that could play high profile x264 @ 1080p. Wink

very good portable media player, if i can be bothered to buy the hdmi lead! I wonder if xbmc will downsample 5.1 audio to 2.0 on the ipad and output it via the hdmi ... i guess it willl ?

There will probably be bugs on iPad 2, though, as XBMC was made for an older version of iOS and the output is different here. But now that it has been JB, it shouldn't take long until it is updated.

Glad I bought the 64GB version, and to think that I went to the store to buy the 16GB version, but they only had the 64GB version.

Good choice in the end.

Never thought about copying mkv´s to mine, but now that you mention it I´m very interested Very Happy

How do I copy the mkv´s to the ipad?

EDIT: Ok, I managed it. Used iPhone PC Suite

ok,apprently you can actually use Camera Kit and with Jailbroken Ipad using ifile use it to connect USB Flash Drive,but it seems it got broken on the iPAD 2 jailbreak,but Comex said he is working on a fix.

Ive been completing out of date with firmware and jailbreaking and my iPhone 4 is currently on 4.1.

Ive now decided to do something about it and update. As I understand it 4.3.3 will be the best version to update to as 4.3.4 was only released to prevent jailbreaking with jailbreakme.com and I read it was a tethered only jailbreak which is no good to me.

Ive backed up my Cydia apps with Pkgbackup which Ive used before and was very impressed with.

Im currently 'transferring my purchases' via iTunes which is taking a fucking long time but previously I was never able to do this and could only transfer apps Id actually paid for and any from Installous were just deleted from my phone!

Im guessing I then need to upgrade to iPhone3,1_4.3.3_8J2_Restore via iTunes, use Jailbreakme.com to jailbreak 4.3.3, then restore my purchases and use pkgbackup to restore all the Cydia apps.

Sound about right? Smile

Also what happens to my contacts, texts and photos in camera roll? Will they be restored?

I'm trying to update to 4.3.3 (iTouch 3G, currently on 4.3.1) but whenever I try to shift-update with the 4.3.3 IPSW, iShit complains and gives error 3194. Does anyone know a way around this, please? I've already tried the Saurik (Cydia) bypass in the HOSTS file .. it does NOT work.

Worse is that TinyUmbrella says I already have 4.3.3 SHSH... which is just fucked up, as how can I have the BLOBs for a firmware I've never installed?

Im also trying to update to 4.3.3 and Im also getting errors. Had 3194 which I sort of managed to get past by running the TSS server in Tiny Umbrella.

Now Im stuck in permanent DFU Sad
