What's so funny about it?
TWIN PEAKS is "something of a miracle."
"...like nothing else on television."
"a phenomenon."
"A tangled tale of sex, violence, power, junk food..."
"Like Nothing On Earth"

Probably the fact that the game doesn't need cracking after installing the patch. If they wanted something to crack then getting the costumes to work would have been something more productive than disabling GFWL. I'd rather play the game with the offline GFWL profile and untouched .exe than through the .exe and .dll SKIDROW has fucked around with.

Really? Did the patch remove the DRM?

The only DRM used in the first place was the limits set for the offline profile (like you could only play with 15 characters out of the 39 and your progress not getting saved). SKIDROW crack got around that. But with the patch Capcom lifted all these limitations.

Seems like they messed up the cpu handling again (just like the original "crack").
The modified executable overloads cores to 100% usage constantly while the original doesn't need half the power on my box...

Is this for everyone or just some people? I ask because mine seems to steady off at about 40-50% cpu usage with the SR version. It doesn't even really heat up my vid card that much either. I have an i7-950 for details. |
We just answered to your question with both our posts, if you don't suffer from the same symptoms it's clearly a localized issue.
There's a post on page 4 by weakpoint illustrating the same phenomenom, except the gap is not as obvious as on my configuration (he even posted screenshots for proof).
I'm running a Core2 Duo E8500, and weakpoint also have a dual core.
Looks like someone has to use another compiler to make his little dlls...

I recall the SS of the CPU utilization, but no one else had really commented on the CPU usage being peaked or not for them. I wasn't sure if people weren't experiencing the same issue or if they just didn't care/mind.
Thanks for the info though. Just wanted to see if there was something wrong with mine or not.

Those, like the skins for the original SF4, only work for the client. You could use them, but the person you're fighting won't see them unless he has the exact same skins installed as well.

LMAO, who cares anyway what the other one is seeing? Are these DLC/mods not for you to feel "better" with the character?

What is the added value with skins again that make them worth even $0.00000001? Your character has a different set of moves? You get an extra character?

Actually, no... generally the reason to use custom/different character skins isn't just for your own enjoyment; it's also to show off | Perfectly in sync with the "cheevos", platinum's, trophies, etc present in the derpsole "gaming culture" nowadays.

But show off what exactly? That you know how to throw cash like the derp next to you? It's not like you created the skin and it shows your artistic skillz.

how is doing exactly what the fans are clamouring for ridiculous Pey? do you own the game? play online? watch any tournaments in the scene?
anyone who follows this game, knows it needs a rebalance, for the OP chars. And they are saying its free simply because they want to make sure that people dont speculate negatively towards the announcement.
its not to say "hey everyone love us for giving you free stuff" quite the opposite, Ono went on stage before the EVO final and sincerely apologised to everyone there for the imbalance, he looked embarrased and upset people had reacted so badly.
so this is not a ploy to get respect they dont deserve, its simply an apology from capcom to the hardcore fans. they are taking their time trying to get the game perfect so SSF4 can be played in the fighting game scene for many years to come.
i know i seem like im defending capcom tons. but im not, im defending Ono and the street fighter team. Yes they have milked the game a bit too much over three versions, but this time are simply paying fan service to the community and sincerely apologising for their mistake and by fixing it. there nothing sinister in this, not this time.

Yeap, at least they are not calling it "Super Hyper Ultra Street Fighter 4 Third Strike 2012 W Impact Isshun Sangeki Shin ぼったくり Anniversary Edition" and sell it for $60.
