I bet most here made up their mind before even trying the game even though it might be good for what it is, which is in a way understandable as they raped the series. Best thing is to just test it myself and make up my own mind.

Iv done the first mission (8 in total), and its pretty much what I figured a pretty average FPS. Decent time waster. Im playing as eddie

Just played it for about 2h , game is a huge step back for CoJ series..wtf Techland.. 
Everything about the game is bellow average , average at max for some..gunplay is boring , driving parts can be really boring and annoying also , AI can be stupid..sometimes insanely agressive , gfx can be so blurry , bloomy and foggy that u can't see shit. I can't see who's shooting at me and from where..and I died few times cause of that especially in the first mission in that forest , worst usage of very decent Chrome Engine. Uninteresting story , generic poh-lice characters who curse a lot..sometimes very annoying when listening to them..
no me gusta..I wasted a verb , mierda ! 
only real mothafuckas can play this...g's , nigga please.. 
I hope they will return to good ol' western with next CoJ , if they don't kill it now..
Bring on Dead Island..

I only hope that this was giving minimal resources, so the bulk of the techland team could work on Dead Island. As stated above it looks like complete shit, its shocking that it uses Chrome 5. Nothing more than a cynical cash grab, to milk the COD derp dollar

WTF!! was that! The game starts with an in car gun spree....then cuts to 3 weeks earier or some shit???? Mc Call is in the game....weird.....how the fuck did they go from the old west to this....how....dope fields......DEA? The point that its free (ish) isn't being debated here, of course everyone is grateful this things are free but free or not you just don't get things willy nilly. As a retro 'scene' guy from he old days I'd collect every game put up on the BBS's but you know what, all I had was a huge pile of crap stored in boxes all over the house.
The idea of getting a game and saying, oh well it was dire but its only a disk is a false economy still, it kills the enthusiasm of the gamer as he or she spreads themselves thinly over a lump of games often losing track of what was good.
No ones banging at the release group, they do what they do and 99.9% of people are grateful.
Personally I welcome weeding out the crap, gaming can be totally personal, horse for courses as they say but when the consensus is that a game is sub standard, its normally right.

Crying about a free game is stupid if you bought the thing and noticed that it was crap I would say yes you got every right to complain but complaining about a free game is pathetic but thats my opinion.
Its the same with people that say ..... example ---> *I download free games but cant play online..... fuck you activision*
Anyway I buy games that has a replay value and burn the ones I play one time and throw away, I might say on some games its crap but think then ow I wasted a verb not a whole 60 euro`s.

You have to make the difference between complaining about a game and giving a critique of it, if someone on here says its a dire shooter with draw problems, frame issue etc etc then fair play I say as like you some people do buy and may have saved you cash.
For those that moan about the inability to play on line or not get DLC because they are banned or have mods then, yes, tough luck..Your choice, your fault.
Reviewing I agree with, complaining for the wrong reasons, no...

Finished it too. But after about 1-2 hours in, i really needed to force myself to keep playing. This game just doesn't feel alright.
It got a bit better towards the end. Still only a 5/10 from me.
