While I can’t reveal the date yet for various reasons, we do have a release date for the Adventure Update in mind, and we’re hoping we’ll be able to hit it.
Here are a few of the things we’ve revealed so far:
* NPC villages
* Randomly generated dungeons
* New biome code
* Fully working Creative Mode (and individual admins can enter Creative Mode on a Survival Mode server if they choose)
* Critical hits
* Sprinting
* More farming options
As soon as I can reveal the release date we’re aiming for, I will!
Oh, and the modding support is happening, honest. |
Add to that the mentioned proper mod support & API and the best is still to come.

You just enjoy your crappy pixelated game
Oh and i can ask you the same thing, you base on what that this game IS still on the same amount of users? You cant proof it either

.... oh and just so you know; my previous question wasn't antagonistic. I was genuinely curious as to what games a player and fanbase of something like this would move on to. The only game readily springing to mind was Terraria.

Honestly, dont think this game can have any playerbase that wants something specific..
Its more or less people that just want to build something, look how many here from nfohump played the game (not just on my server) and how many of them play other games now.

I have come to the conclusion that notch fans are just like Steve Jobs fans. (sausje© approves this conclusion!)
Like i said, enjoy your game. For me fun of it was gone after 1 day of playing it (running the server longer doesn't mean that i did actually play it.)

strangely i found the exploring part of the game way more interesting than the building part. maybe the developers should expand this part of the game a bit.
