Just finished it. A great game, not sure why so many of you guys are nitpicking about it. I was looking for a detective adventure game like that for years, and this is exactly what I've got. Too bad the Vice desk is so short (3 missions?[without DLC] Come on.). I really loved the characters and the interview mechanic.
Homicide desk is definitely my favourite though, I loved how it all ended, though I actually knew the suspect beforehand (as in, I thought it was  Spoiler: | one of the temp barmans, as every case had a gal drinking, and every case had a temp barman working the night |
). I would love more content for this, I seriously consider buying the Rockstar Pass. 
Also, about the ending

Also, I love how in the end Kalso achieves nothing, as the new DA is as crooked as the previous one, and Earle is still working in Vice and calls Phelps his friend/ |

You know what really pissed me off about the vice desk?
Not a single case about any sort of hookers. I mean come on. 1940's hollywood and not a single prostitute around?
But yeah the ending is basically classic film noir style so not much surprise there.

It's not that you fail the cases, you complete them but you either charge the wrong suspect (which happens even in real world) or lack the evidence. The promotion thing is only there to diversify the story, because the derps would be too bored to play in a single unit the whole time. I think it's a good mechanic tbh.

Indeed. It was a nice case, I only got 3 stars tho. And it seemed a little shorter than the other DLC cases.

Anyone have any luck killing pedestrians so far? Seems tricky because they jump out of the way really quickly. I finally managed to smash one into the pavement today -- build up a lot of speed and drive over the sidewalk. If you nail one there's even blood on the street.
Using the same "technique" I got to kill my annoying loud-mouhed partner Rusty. Enter a car and quickly race away. Turn around with the handbrake, build up plenty of speed and race towards the blue blip on the radar. If you hit him the case is failed because your partner died
