I don't think it was overhyped one bit. Great dialogue and story, great graphics, a PROPER western game. Not too short either. Sure with aouto aim it is not that hard, but I had it turned off and some missions were challenging.

No other game has given me the feel of freedom that RDR has. And then we had the DLC to give extra playing time. It was not perfect by any means (some improvements include more varied side missions), but I REALLY hope we will see a good sequel at some point. This game was worth every penny.

BUT - opinions differ, sometimes I am just surprised at how much they actually DO differ. Smile

Oh and BTW - new DLC on the way. I like DLC when it's done properly and Rockstar makes good DLC.

Seems like they updated the post.

"Update: The new DLC is likely the free "Fan Appreciation DLC" announced during E3, with new "fan-favorite" multiplayer characters, and new content for various multiplayer modes."

I am disappoint. But it's nice it's free even though I don't care for multi RDR at all.

Yeah, we've already had Undead Nightmare ... and a bunch of MP-focused smaller ones ... now I want another mega SP-focused DLC.

Undead Nightmare is hilarious! The dialog is just golden. But gameplay does kind of suffer for me. Zombies are there all the time, making it tiresome to explore and look for horses, etc. I already caught some rare horse (I think it's one of the apocalypse horses), but I just get bored being attacked by all the zombies all the time. Laughing Not like they are hard to kill, but but it's just tiresome.

This.

I loved RDR and couldnt wait to finish it, I played it to death (even all the side quests)

But I just couldnt stick with UN (and I bought it during that brief period we could use PSN with dongles), I just got bored with the same old shit everywhere.

Crying or Very sad Crying or Very sad Crying or Very sad

How it is used and its symbolism is one of the most effective and brilliant in video games that I can remember, something which is rarely seen in this media, especially at the current age of video gaming. Absolutely brilliant!

RDR was okay but could have been better. Imo the biggest problem (beside the low difficulty) were the boring story and missions. They were just not exciting. If you want a truly great western game with a lot of exciting moments you gotta play Call of Juarez - the best western game ever! I will never forget its epic ending.

Agreed i had it to hardly played it.

It was a typical Rockstar game.. I didnt expect it to be anything different. I think it might be my last rockstar game too, I have grown a bit tired of the formula. That said, I liked Marston and the supporting characters quite a bit. In typical Rockstar fashion they are what keep you playing long after you've grown bored with the sub-par gunplay.

Should he doing that? It's short fun for 1-2hrs after that - big boredom. L.A. Noire is not Rockstar game at all (different dev).

They actually bitch about low sales for this game, considering the investment, and it wasn't released for the pc, coincidence? Mighty consoles indeed Laughing

So I say serves them right.

Seeing how they lost R* support I wouldn't expect anything more than a console port with minor graphic options like resolution change and low-medium-high settings. Yeah, it's going to look amazing on PC, true Dx11 tech...

They're going to be served even more "right"-ness after they release it on PC and the game will be pirated to the moon and back. Because as is the case with all multiplatform games, PC sale matter the most! Laughing
