The game wont launch for me. Installed the Skidrow version and immeadetely put on THETA crack but the game like launches but nothing happens. When i check Task Manager its like saying that AliceMadnessReturns is running... What might be the case?

finished it last night..id give it a 7/10
great story, great visuals. so so gameplay...about 3/4 of the way thru was just finishing it for the story, the gameplay was just in the way at that point, but the visuals and atmosphere was worth pushing on to see.
it got tedious with the "yes yes I get it, a timed steam vent using a hat on the plate" puzzles. its like by the time they slowly introduced all the elements to use to you ingame..they ran out of ideas of how to combine them.
after a certain point there wasn't even any thought needed or challenge to get past a room, was more just a chore to take the time to do it.
but still a solid game overall.

The crash happens on the retail as well, so it's not a problem of the crack.
"Not needed"... well, Skidrow's release did have a corrupt file, so I'd say it IS needed.
It's not a fair nuke.

This game has some of the most crappy releases that I've ever seen. The first skidrow crack crashed for everybody, with the second skidrow crack the game didn't even want to start for me, with theta's crack the game crashed randomly for me, giving the usual "stopped working" message, but it acted like skidrow's first crack. Now I'm running the clonedvd + reloaded's crack and it seems to work fine so far, though I did have a bug somewhere (the next part of the game didn't want to trigger after a cutscene, remaining at an image showing Alice) and had to play again from the last checkpoint. I don't know if that was caused by the crack, the tweaking I did or something else. Anyway, I want to say that after I turned off some (quite a lot actually, most of them?) of the annoying effects by tweaking the ini file, the remaining post-processing effects are a nice little addition (in that underwater level, that is). I'm constantly turning them off and on each new level as in some levels it makes the game look ugly as hell, while in others it makes it look a bit better.

I'm currently playing the SKIDROW version (fresh install) + THETA's crack and everything seems to be fine so far (W7x64 here)

Same here. Theta crack works perfectly with SKIDROW release

Mine also works fine, didn't pay a dime..installed reloaded original, used theta crack..played 9 hours straight to the endnot one crash.

Reloaded proper version is fine too, no bug ftm. Anyway, very nice game, much fun until now. Graphics are more than good, very interesting atmosphere of craziness. If you like Alice or characters like those girls in the movie "Sucker Punch", this game is a must.

ok I cant for the life of me get that umbrella to deploy, of course I have changed the key bindings for my liking everything works except this tham umbrella !! wtf ? anyone had this bug ? how can I change the controls for the umbrella its not working !!!

It just doesnt work !!! tweaked 3 ini files, reverted to default controls 50 times nothing works the fucking umbrella wont open, ive seen others with this problem with the retail release, very nice game but the key bindings suck major dick ! oh and im using arrow keys not wasd ! even with the default E it wont open !!! arrrggghh and I was thinking of bying this game !

I'm at Chapter 4 now and I have no idea how to kill the Executioner, I use both gun and bomb and keep shooting it, and it seems like it doesn't take any damage from it.

The Cheshire cat tells you it can't be killed and Alice comments on trying to kill it being a waste of time if you try to hurt him. You're supposed to run away and avoid taking damage as much as possible.

So all I have to do is just dodge his attack and somehow let the time pass until something shows up and pass this scene? It's a small room, I don't think I can escape anywhere else from it.

How is physix without NVIDIA cards? Reasonable framerates at least on medium settings?
